Whoa! Who Could Have Seen That Coming?

June 25, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

So Trump sends his 35 year old golden boy, with no experience in government and no experience in diplomacy to make peace in the Middle East by telling Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas what Israel wants them to do.

London-based Arabic daily Al-Hayat reported Saturday that the meeting between Kushner and Abbas had been “tense.” Abbas was allegedly furious when Kushner relayed a set of demands from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a translation of the report by the Jerusalem Post.

Tense?  Yeah well, tense means a little worried.  Honey, this was piano wire tense.  You hit this tense and it’s gonna squeal.

I could be wrong but I think the Palestinians have previously turned down the offer of doing whatever Israel tells them do, so maybe that wasn’t a stellar starting point.

Kushner is also is charge of reforming the veteran’s administration and the criminal justice system, diplomacy in the middle east and Mexico, reinventing government, and stopping the opioid epidemic.  I hope none of these things have anything at all to do with your life or you are sooooo screwed.

    ^ Hilarious!

How many weeks before Cheetolini throws Jared under the bus?

  2. Who knew when Trump said:

“I’m going to surround myself only with the best and most serious people. . . . We want top of the line professionals.”

that compared to the rest of his administration, Kushner is as close as we get when it comes to serious & top of the line.

Otherwise it’s mostly jokers and court jesters at the bottom of the barrel.

Welp, I don’t speak for y’all but me, but if we continue taking “the road less traveled” with Dolt 45, I may be seriously in dire need of opioids.

Started to write that you’d think by now that Trump would understand when a situation has long been described as complex with intractable positions on all (not just two!) sides, but then I remembered, “That’s right, this is arrogant, blowhard, and ignorant Trump!”

Mr. Phillips, I’m thinking another few mind numbing weeks of old Donnieoid Dolt45 and we’ll all be needing a shot of whatever is given to patients in medically induced comas to awaken them. Drain the swamp? No, he’s draining the country dry and tapping my energy levels.

Incompetence begets and attracts incompetence. The Trump family and hangers-on are proof positive.

Jared Kushner: jack of all trades and master of none. Fits right in with the rest of his father-in-law’s administration. Does he always play with matches near a keg of gunpowder?

Oh, Rick, would that they were just jokers. Many of his aides have turned out to be foreign agents and agents of destruction.
Also, I am heartsick to hear that Supreme Court Justice Kennedy will retire and Trump will be able to nominate another hateful conservative and swing the Court to the far right.

    9
  9. I knew that somebody other than Trump would be doing the actual work. I just didn’t think it would be his son-in-law. Neither did any other world leaders, apparently.

    10
  10. maryelle, my understanding is that Kennedy’s retirement is rumor, not fact. (Please god of all that is, let it be a False Rumor.)

What Debbo said. Please God, don’t retire!

@ That Other Jean: didn’t you mean to say Jared is a “jerk of all trades”?

I thought this mid east peace thing was gonna be easy-peasy. Well, actually I didn’t but butthead in chief assured us it was. Now he’s gonna abandon the effort after one hapless attempt. Whatta surprise. It’s nothing but malevolent incompetence from end to end.

The fact that Jared Kushner’s family has a decades long friendship with Netanyahu (Jared had to give up his bedroom so Benny could sleep in Jared’s room when he visited) any attempt at peace talks was a shame from the get go. Plus, the fact that Jared visited Abbas in the middle of Ramadan was a little suspect. Donnie announced a month or so ago that his patience was thin on this issue and Palestine had a short window to work out a peace plan. I guess this one hour visit was their shot so now the land grab for more Israeli settlements commences. Which suits the Kushner family just fine because they make money doing the real estate development for the new Israeli settlements.

  15. Mother Jones' cat says:

I meant “any attempt at peace talks was a sham” and not shame although both words seem to work.

    16
  16. Speaking of tense, I hope we all survive until we can speak of this disaster of an administration in the past tense.

  17. Note to Jared and CJ: picture of Ivanka playing with her daughter Arabella in the White House Rose Garden will NOT distract the public from the truth. Now, go brush your teeth, comb your hair and do something worthwhile such as leave.

Problem with Trump is, he’ll only hire people that he knows personally. So “the Very Best People” need to be selected from the festering pool of crooks, liars, opportunistic ideologues, and sycophants that has collected around him. Decent, knowledgeable, competent folk aren’t included, since they have nothing in common with him.
