Where’s the Outrage? In Florida, Apparently.

February 19, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Congress, Trump

Remember all the howling during the Obama administration about the “Vacationer in Chief”?   Or the “Golfer in Chief”?  What was so ridiculous is that the same howlers were silent during GWB’s over 1,000 days on vacation during his presidency.  Well, the howlers are all silent again but what’s amazing is that they are silent about the new SCROTUS’s soaring vacation costs.  Since January 20th, he’s taken 3 jaunts to Mar-a-Lago, courtesy of the US taxpayer, costing $11.3 million.  Yes, $11.3 million in 4 weeks, almost equaling an entire year of the Obamas’ travel costs.  The noise from the screaming tee vee heads and congressvarmints?

Be social and share!

BUT THE DEBT!!!!! Not so important now is it Mr. Ryan?

  7. I was just looking for a new word for what snacilbupeR do daily. The Free Dictionary helped me out, as you can see in the previous comment.

Note the 3 words listed as antonyms to snacilbupeR.

  8. The Republicans do this because it works. It fires up their base and the constant repetitions have a where-there’s-smoke-there’s-fire effect on their political foes. That’s how Swift-boating works. That’s how the email ‘scandal’ worked.

The Dems respond politely. They talk about things a lot. They had better learn to fight dirty and attack like junkyard dogs or we are going to lose our country to the radical right.

I’d start with SS and Medicare. Any time the Repubs make a change, point out that the change must either increase payments, leave them unchanged, or cut them. So anything that causes a change but doesn’t increase payment necessarily cuts them. This is simple enough for low-attention voters to understand.

The Repubs are going to claim they’re saving SS. The Dems need to point out non stop that cut after cut after cut is no way to save a program.

There’s been a strong ripple effect here in the Bahamas, with people and freight often unable to get in and out of Lantana Airport, a charter hub, because of the strict flight constraints when tRump’s in the area. The services and tenants there are concerned they may have to go out of business if this continues.
