What a Difference a Day Makes

April 27, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Remember the gay guys hosting an event for Ted Cruz and Cruz just lapping it up?

Well, hold the phone, Nelly, because somebody just had an epiphany.  And an apology.

In a statement posted to his Facebook page on Sunday, Reisner sought forgiveness for his “poor judgement,” explaining that he did not do his homework on Cruz’s record on marriage equality before agreeing to host the event.

Just think how Sarah Palin is gonna feel having to turn over the Social Awareness Catastrophe trophy to two gay guys in New York.

One of the host says he’s been “shaken to my bones” from all the outcry from his fellow gays.

“I’ve spent the past 24 hours reviewing videos of Cruz’ statements on gay marriage and I am shocked and angry. I sincerely apologize for hurting the gay community and so many of our friends, family, allies, customers and employees.”

Honey, if it takes you more than 15 minutes to figure out that Ted Cruz thinks you’re a deviant, you are a very slow reader.

We’re all waiting to see if Cruz issues a statement saying, “Hey, I didn’t know they were that kind of gay.  You know, the sober kind.”

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Perhaps Mr Reisner was not aware that carnival Cruz was a Republican. Is there a Republican candidate who believes in marriage equality? Or simply equality for that matter? This event was about lower taxes for the rich. Mr Reisner was aware of Cruz’s position but Mr Reisner knows his money insures that he will always receive “more than equal” treatment- in public, in private, and before the law. So, he had no problem making a choice between conscience and his money- just like every other Log Cabin Republican.

He can’t have it both ways. That apology rings false. You’d have to have been living in outer space not to be aware of Cruz’ anti- gay beliefs, much less the Republican’t “moral” values.
    Nice try Mr. Reisner.

  3. Gosh, I’m sorry to hear that as “Mr. Paisley Bathrobe” looked so comfortable with “those people……”

Money is truly the great equalizer.

At first I tried to apologize for them, citing a desire to distance themselves from bigots, then I thought, Hmmmm, maybe are just as venal as any other businessman chasing a buck, now I have had MY epiphany … they have excercized their right to be just as uninformed as any other cracker.

  5. No, he was “shaken to his bones” by people canceling events at the hotels he owns. Just like in Indiana, the bottom line is what counts, not what’s right and good for the country.

Are they really sorry or just reacting to criticism?

  7. I’m sorry, but being a Texan..I smell bull****

  8. Simply does not wash.

  9. Politics makes for strange bedfellows. And sometimes you get Tedbugs.

@yellowdoggranny-You don’t need to be a Texan to smell that particular brand of bull****, but I guess it helps!

Reminds me of Bruce Jenner coming out… as a “Conservative” because he “believes in the Constitution.”

Which is just plain sad because, according to his fellow Conservatives, the Constitution doesn’t believe in him.

Not for nothing, but if Bruce is a woman, doesn’t that make all her previous marriages gay marriages?

(If any of this Ted-Cruz-with-the-Gays stuff has rattled you a bit, then I suggest you Google up ‘A’ Gays and do some reading. The ‘A’ Gays are just about the money.)

All money is the same color and sex.

  15. Mark Schlemmer says:

This fellow, Reisner, is not gay. He is both sad and stupid. But,
there is your basic example that illustrates that Gay men come in all colors of the rainbow and just because you are Gay does not mean you are smart, cool, or even happy. It just means you are attracted to the same sex. Anyway, Gay or Straight, I can’t imagine that Ted is much fun in bed. I just can’t. A lot of times it is the people you least expect that to be true of who are wildly fun in the sack. But not Ted. Sorry Mrs. Cruz. But then, you already knew.

  16. Glen Maxey says:

It’s pretty clear that Mr Reisner and his “partner” don’t know much about Ted Cruz and his views, because from his perch of privelige he’s never had to worry about discrimination.

I suggest Mr. Reisner take the coke spoon from out from under his nose, and may he’d recognize not only Ted Cruz’s right wing utterances, but he might have notice the overdosed dead youn man that was found in his bathtub.

This man is reprehensible and no apoplogy will ever make up for it.

    16
  17. Glen, thank you for the reminder, I’d completely forgotten that incident!

@Rick – Ted bugs indeed more like dead ones.
