Well, Of Course

Okay, so the writ twit advising Trump that he can put his business in a regular trust, turn it over to his sons, and pinky promise that he’ll never discuss it with them, is …. ta da!

According to the Morgan Lewis website, the firm’s Moscow office has a healthy practice, with more than 40 lawyers helping corporate clients navigate the Russian legal landscape.

Why does that not knock my socks off?

Thanks to Bubba for the heads up.

  1. I’m doing my Cheshire cat smile at the moment. This is all going to add up!

It adds up now, Maggie. When Trump takes the oath, he’ll be lying, an impeachable offense.

Of course, so is treason, but it’s hard to imagine that going anywhere.

How long will he get away with this garbage (in deference to Mama)?
I keep thinking ok, this will be the final straw, and it just never is.
    Trembling in fear……

Are the Russians also advising Trump on how to navigate the AMERICAN legal landscape?

  5. Linda, the answer is – probably.

Several snacilbupeR senators are highly critical of Tilsen due to his Russian connections and may not vote to affirm. Rubio was very pointed in his questions and Rexie dodged them as best he could. I think they want to get the cocksplat out of there asap and put in their paleo con boy. At least he may not be nuts.

Cheryl Anne … all of those “final straws” add up to a mighty tall hay mound and when it collapses … kawhump goes Trump!!

  7. Walter Schaub, Director of the Office of Government Ethics (not to be confused with the congressional ethics office), went after Cheato today in remarks at the Brookings Institution over just this thing. Schaub previously released a ton of tweets congratulating Cheato about divesting (which of course he didn’t do) – pretty much just shaming him. And since Cheato hasn’t… well, here are today’s remarks:

His term doesn’t end until some time in 2018. I certainly hope Cheato can’t fire him.

  8. We’ve seen various Repubs denounce Trump before and in the end they all fell into line. What really matters to them is their own political careers and they are not going to piss off Trump supporters and their votes. It’s not as though they have any ethics.

Maggie… I’m with you there. This mess is getting interesting. Trump may star in a new reality show; The Defendent.

Uh, I don’t get it. Why did Russia work so hard to win him the presidency only to put him on the fast-track to impeachment? Sure, it won’t happen with THIS Congress, but I’m betting that, two years from now, it will be a whole lot different. And THEN what?

Oh, right. The chance that we’ll be allowed to vote by then is pretty slim.

    **Never mind.**

  11. Linda Phipps says:

two crows: sadly, the democrats have been betting that we will win back congress in ’10 and every two years since then.

    Debbo –
I was amazed at Rubio’s performance. Who WAS that guy, and what has he done with Little Marco? It’s like he finally hit puberty, and (look away, Momma) his testicles have dropped.

Too bad he didn’t show some of this during the primary campaign. I didn’t like Rubio at all before, with his absenteeism, constant whining about how hard his job was, and canned talking points. But if this grownup guy keeps showing up, and actually does something besides toe the party line, he might be okay.
