Voter Fraud Is Real, Y’all!

October 29, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Y’all, it’s real and it’s happening right here in ‘Merica!  In Iowa!

article-voter-1-1028A Des Moines woman has been arrested on suspicion of voting twice this month in the general election, police and court records show.

Terri Lynn Rote, 55, was booked into the Polk County Jail about 3:40 p.m. Thursday on a first-degree election misconduct charge, which is a Class D felony.

Rote, a registered Republican, reportedly cast an early voting ballot at the Polk County Election Office, 120 Second Ave., and another ballot at a county satellite voting location in Des Moines, according to a Des Moines police report.

Computers are like magic.  (I guess she got lost on her way to a third polling place.)

I think I’ve told you before that we’ve had two cases of voter fraud in my county and both were by Republicans.  One of them was running for office when he did it.

Republicans:  Fraud is their middle name.

  1. Also first and last names.

  2. But…but…Donnie says that’s okay if they’re voting for him.

  3. Jere Armen says:

And in her defense, she will no doubt claim that she was testing the system to see if it would detect fraud.

  4. e platypus onion says:

Ayup, we is numero uno in voter fraud, but at least we make it a felony instead of ignoring it.

  5. Sam in San Antonio says:

Her FB page is up and running. Orange is the new Orange jumpsuit.

    5
  6. She was just following that sage old advice: Vote early. Vote often.

  8. Elizabeth Moon says:

Interesting result of deep Google: in 1914, a woman named Terri Lynn Rote Deslatte died in Louisiana. She was 52.

And two years later another Terri Lynn Rote (which you have to admit is not a common name) commits voter fraud in Iowa at the age of, supposedly, 55.

I wouldn’t bother if the names were Susan E. Jones and Susan E. Jones…or even Terri Lynn Jones/Terri Lynn Jones. But “Rote?” Or if the ages were 87 and 55, or 23 and 55. But this, and the look of her in both the picture here and the one I found on Google, make me think “identity fraud.” (The dead Rote’s image didn’t.)

This is the funeral notice that popped up when I Googled beyond the first page:

  9. What I find most worrisome about Drumpf’s harangue about voter fraud is that he is subtly encouraging his minions to go out and do it, because of course the Dem’s are doing it.
Those who scream the loudest against others are themselves guilty of the crime. Ms. Rote fits the bill.

    9
  10. Old Quaker says:

How is this worth the effort/risk? A person has to be mentally unbalanced and a fanatic to boot to attempt to vote several times. So little, if any, pay off. It’s a deplorable thing.

    10
  11. Tilphousia says:

LOL. Ever notice that “he who screams loudest usually has the most to hide”. Looks like the rethugs are back to their cheating ways cause they can’t win fair and square.

    11
  12. So… I assume instead of casting two votes for Trump, she now has no votes for Trump since she was arrested. And as she was charged with a felony, if convicted, is she barred from ever voting again?

    12
  13. Elizabeth Moon says:

Rick: not necessarily. The law varies by state.

    13
  14. Elizabeth, very interesting find. Hmm. I wonder who she really is? I mean, other than another deranged snacilbupeR.

    14
  15. slipstream says:

Elizabeth Moon: typo in your first comment. The late Terri Lynn Rote Deslatte died in 2014, not 1914.

The new Terri Lynn Rote, arrested for voting fraud, may indeed by practicing identity theft. In addition to her other crime.

    15
  16. e platypus onion says:

Elizabeth Moon, you have some dates mixed up or are you talking of another pair of TL Rotes altogether. I is confused. Think I’ll go vote several times for all candidates.

    16
  17. e platypus onion says:

I got it, I think. You used 1914 instead of 2014.

    17
  18. e platypus onion says:

Rick- Can convicted felons vote in Iowa?
Restoration of Rights. In Iowa, a person’s voter registration is cancelled if the person is convicted of a felony. Voting rights may be restored after completion of the sentence, any required probation, parole, or supervised release, and all court costs, fees, and restitutions have been paid.

    This may have been changed.

  19. Oy, gevalt.

  20. e platypus onion says:

Where’s the party planner, Slip? How come your comment wasn’t showing when I posted mine? Trying to make me look like a fool?

    20
  21. JAKvirginia says:

Oh, epo! Stop that now. I could dress you up like Melanoma Trump and you wouldn’t look like a fool.

As far as Ms. Rote goes: Sweetie, you’re no way near a 10. Donnie wasn’t going to do anything for you so why risk arrest? Seriously. Did he bail you out at least? Humph. Thought so.

    21
  22. slipstream says:

Gosh, e platypus onion, I have tried to hire the party planner to arrange a big celebration the night of November 8 after HRC kicks Trump clean out of town. But she keeps hanging up on me.

    22
  23. Color me not surprised! How long, Oh Lord, how long?

    23
  24. e platypus onion says:

Oh heck, Slip. bring Mr Quackers. He is prolly more fun anyway and drinks way less, too, I imagine.

    24
  25. e platypus onion says:

JAKVirginia- I’d look like Melanoma after she swallered a whisky cask whole!

    25
  26. JAKvirginia says:

epo: Thank you for that disturbing mental picture.

But at least now I have a costume idea for Monday!

    26
  27. Lunargent says:

Wow. Our system is so rife with corruption that when a single voter tries to cast multiple ballots, she’s detected and arrested THE SAME DAY!

I await an explanation from the Trump campaign.

    27
  28. L'Angelomisterioso says:

@Jere Armen#1- Either that or claim it was a joke and then accuse her accusers of having no sense of humor.I’m waiting for Unka Karl’s big election night meltdown. I hope he has it live on Fuchs Noise and sends one of the bleach blonds to check on the accuracy of the numbers.

    28
  29. If Trump is elected the case will be dismissed for entrapment. Hillary made her do it!
