True the Voter

October 16, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I have a deep grudge against True the Vote.  The founder used to live in my county but I think I shamed her away from here.  Either that, or she changed her name and moved to Hypocrites Anonymous Village.

True the Vote is convinced that Democrats are stealing elections in Texas. Do you want to know how? By registering voters.

Here’s a fundraising letter they sent out.  Click here to see the big one.

Remember when ya’ll donated to send pre-filled out registration cards to Democrats who had moved here from other states but had not changed their voter registration?  Well, it worked a whole lot better than we anticipated.  So, True the Vote thinks you’re a jackass.

Thanks to Kyle for the heads up and Election Law Blog for the find.

  1. Buried under new registered voters? Hmmm. I guess it couldn’t be because people want to boot the GOP. huh?

  2. Can someone tell that moron to go do something unnatural?

Here in NJ, they leave your name on the rolls for 3 election cycles, even if you contact the county clerk to inform the office you have left the Garden State, just in case you regret your decision to move, so you can vote right away.

How do I know? DD#2 has been in GA for a bit now, first as a student voting in NJ, and lately voting in GA but the county clerk will take her off the rolls after this election. No fraud ’cause she never tried to vote in 2 places.

  3. The USA needs a Federally regulated and administered voting system ASAP.
Totally uniform rules and regs governing every aspect of the registration, voting and counting process.
Totally eliminate all local and state, frequently corrupt, influences on the processes, except as overseen by a completely independent and non-partisan federal agency.

This. From the same hypocrites who think it’s OK for Kobach to spend our $$$ on his wild goose chase for non-existent voter fraud, or that clown in GA sitting on ~53,000 voter registrations or the ND lege knowing the Native American voters use PO boxes as do many rural residents passing legislation to deliberately disenfranchise predominantly Democratic voters. Projection: when they accuse, we know what THEY are doing.

If only we had a real US Attorney general to prosecute them.

  5. Sounds like they are readying the excuse that “We didn’t have enough time to register all these voters ’cause they all came in at once.” to use for some under-the-table shenannigans which “disappear a whole lot of Dem registrations.
My God, these people are criminals of the first order.

  6. two crows says:

“OMG! Those dirty libruls! They’re registering in record numbers and all those registrations have to be **gasp!** entered into the rolls! Which leaves us no time to figure out how to deny them their rights to vote! What IS the world coming to when we can’t even rig our elections anymore?!?”

  7. That Other Jean says:

That particular “Jackass” title is one I’ll be happy to carry. Welcome to all the newly-registered voters. Help turn Texas blue!

  8. People are registering to vote – – right before an election?
And True the Vote acts like it’s a conspiracy?

It sounds more like human nature. I myself have never met a deadline I didn’t mind waiting for. Yesterday was October 15th, the day Federal tax extensions were due. I had 6 months to work on that extension. Guess when I filed? October 14th, and I still felt like I might have jumped the gun.

Sandridge, ITA. Since the SCROTUS decimated voting rights and the snacilbupeR in Congress deliberately fail to legislate the necessary repairs, we need a new Congress before there is any hope on just about everything.

Vote in droves 2018. We need the numbers to offset all their shenanigans.

    9
  10. Strange! Now lets just hope that all those who registered are allowed to vote on Election Day. No business like telling them they are in the wrong precinct and then sending them to a bear’s den to vote!

  11. Jane & PKM says:

Any of you Texans a neighbor to either of these women? “Angie White, 57, said her daughter has gone to O’Rourke events but that, like many young people, “I feel like she’s not going to go vote.” Next to her was Carolyn Knight, 65, who joked about wanting her grandkids to stay home on Election Day.” Are they truly that mean and thoughtless toward their own children and grandchildren, or just a special kind of snacilbupeR st00pid? Hope they’re both wrong and that their children and grandchildren all take ten friends with them to vote. Go Beto!

  12. The Surly Professor says:

“Remember when ya’ll donated to send pre-filled out registration …”

JJ: I sure would never have known about the effort if it wasn’t for you posting about it. Donating money to the DNC is wasted as far as I’m concerned, but you riled us up and gave us a good target to donate towards. I’m sure you are busier than a three-legged dog with fleas for the next three weeks, but no matter how the vote turns out, pat yourself on the back afterwards.

Jane & PKM: although my old friends are astonished and suspicious about it, I really am a professor. What made me surly was in November 2016. My undergrad class of 34 had 3 international students, leaving 31 possible voters and 7 of them were women (yes, my field is a sausage party, unfortunately). The day after the elections I had everyone fill out an anonymous card that asked only one question: did you vote yesterday? Exactly 4 out of 31 had done so, even though the campus had two polling places. And I just don’t believe most of the students had a felony conviction that would block them from voting. [Unlike most of my old friends, who have had decades more opportunity to accumulate crimes]

On the other hand, if a woman went to a Beto event, the chances are good that she will vote. But you are right, the real question is if she can drag or shame 10 friends to do the same.

I mailed in my ballot last week thanks to Glen Maxey and Juanita Jean and their “radical actions.” My ballot was paper, it can’t be hacked by the Russians!

    14
  15. Proud members of the radical left…yes, we are!

    15
  16. My county mailed out all the ballots for the election today. I plan on voting with extreme prejudice.

    16
  17. * Universal, assumed voter registration.

    * Paper ballots.

    * Mail in voting for all, over an ‘election period’.

    * Ballots are held and counted publicly.

Whole other countries function exactly like this. Any complications added to the mix invite (assure) manipulation, and corruption of the process.

There is so much work to do. I can envision a Second Bill of Rights: elections reform, immigration reform, equal rights, corporate reform, tax reform, universal basic income, health care, etc.

  18. Paul, from your lips to God’s ears!

  19. Ditto Two Crows above! I’m just so proud to help the effort to turn Texas blue, and I’m equally proud to be a librul jackass. Suits me just fine.
