This Ain’t The Damn Onion

They are not kidding.

Half of Republicans would destroy democracy to kiss Trump’s behind.

Trump is right – he could murder someone cold blooded in broad damn daylight and they wouldn’t care.

Well, I guess that’s going in his daily ego folder.

Nearly half of Republicans (47 percent) believe that Trump won the popular vote, which is similar to this finding. Larger fractions believe that millions of illegal immigrants voted (68 percent) and that voter fraud happens somewhat or very often (73 percent). Again, this is similar to previous polls.

All those cuts in education budgets?  So not worth it.

Same ‘patriotic’ snacilbupeR who support gerrymandering, voter suppression, foreign interference in our elections and otherwise work to suppress the vote by any means possible. And now, when all else might fail them, they’re ready to abandon elections altogether in support of the Cooter-in-Thief.

Hey morons, develop an appreciation for irony. President Barack Obama is now a former President. It’s time to get off your lawns while holding your penis extenders shouting “he’s coming for our guns.” Like Jade Helm conspiracies, that never happened.

  2. Lunargent says:

Well, that’s one way to attain a permanent majority.

Come 2018, we’ve gotta grab the damn GOP clown car, turn it upside down, and shake it till it’s empty. These are the most anti-democratic so-called Americans that I’ve ever seen, and they’re a genuine menace to the country. Vote ’em out! And slap down their witless supporters – hard.

  3. JAKvirginia says:

And you know what else is sad? These dolts probably think if the electon is postponed then Donnie’s term in office magically extends! Have these idgits never read the Constitution? It’s FOUR years you fools! And if there’s no election Donnie is still out on his butt come January 2021. Then there’s no President. Got it now, you clowns?

They probably don’t. Sheesh. Instructing willfully stupid people is hard!

  4. Gops believe what they’re told to believe. It’s as simple as that. Remember when candidate Romney said Russia was our enemy? I remember seeing Ruck Fussia bumper stickers on jacked up pickups. Bet those are all gone now.

  5. JAK: I think we can expect that if the election is canceled, it’s game over.

Still plodding along with the Texas history thing.

  7. “All those cuts in education budgets? So not worth it.”

Worth it to the GOP. They got a bunch of dumb-ass clowns who believe whatever they’re told (I think they get practice in their churches), and who damn well vote.

  8. Don A in Pennsyltucky says:

And just what demented doofus decided that question was important to ask? I mean, even if it were possible to somehow postpone the election, the President’s term expires after 4 years regardless. Also the VP. Which would make the Speaker of the House the only person in the line of succession available. Oh, maybe it was Paul Ryan who came up with the idea — that’s about the only way he’s going anywhere except maybe back to Beloit.

    8
  9. And when told that doing so would be unconstitutional etc. etc., what did they say. Did they even take a parsec to grasp the world “treason”?

  10. That Other Jean says:

@Lunargent: In 2018, I’d like to take the snacillbupeR clown car and shake it until it’s empty, then set it on fire. These people are so stupid that they’re dangerous. This ridiculous idea does give Democrats another reason to work extra hard to take the House in 2018, though–President Paul Ryan would be a worse-than-dreadful choice. I’d much rather have Nancy Pelosi, who is a hell of a lot smarter than Ryan

  11. Hey, half of Republicans, here’s another question for you:

If it’s definitively determined Russia affected the outcome of the 2016 election, would you support delaying those results until a way forward can be determined? That is, not a delay of a future election which you’re already OK with, but a delay of the last election’s result, and a rollback to the most recent authenticated election. That is, Obama ‘temporarily’ back in charge.

I just wanted to imagine some heads exploding this morning.

  12. I like Rick’s question, and motivation for it.

At risk of repeating myself, we’re f#%?ed. (Apologies to mama.)

  13. Charles R Phillips says:

Hey, Don A, that’s all elections except state and local. The House would disappear, given no one was voted in. All power would devolve to the states.

  14. WA Skeptic says:

The only thing that’s kept me halfway sane is the thought that he’s going to be out in 2020. (sob)

    AAARGH!

    14
  15. WA Skeptic, I keep reminding myself that Repubs are a minority of voters, and this is only half of that sad lot. So if 30% of Americans identify as Rs, that’s 15% of voters we’re talking about. Still too high a number to be so utterly devoid of critical thinking skills but I gotta hold onto that number.

    15
  16. Jane & PKM says:

WA Skeptic, 2020? Now you’re making me cry. Was hoping Donnie would be gone this summer or 2018 at the latest. I can “live” with 2018, if Donnie takes Mikey Dense, Mitch the Turtle and Lyin’ Ryan down with his ‘glorious’ exit.

Apparently, Civics curriculum has been reduced to the Mushroom Approach — keep ’em in the dark and feed ’em sh*t.
Shrub nailed it when he said “our children isn’t learning.” Neither is their adult family members.

    17
  18. If there were no federal election, 2/3 of the Senate would still be in office. Unfortunately IIRC Republicans would have a larger majority as more Dems are up for reelection next year.

Also, wasn’t there a conspiracy theory touted by those on the right that Obama was going to cancel the 2016 election so he could remain in power? And they had a fit about that. But it’s OK if their guy does it.

The whole thing is, shall we say, SAD!
