Okay, here’s the deal, I think Donald Trump should be treated just like President Obama. I think Trump should not be allowed to pick a justice in the last year of his presidency either.
So, let’s wait a year and see if Trump is still around. I’m betting no.

JJ, I agree. It just may be that this new justice will find the guy who nominated him being impeached. Luckily, only the chief justice sits on the bench in an impeachment. Cannot forget the site of the chief justice during the Clinton impeachment with all those “hash’ marks on the sleeves of his robe! I also believe that a certain Republican Senator took that occasion to switch parties Understandable.
1Since this year could well be Trump’s last, that lets Gorsuch out.

4The Republican controlled Senate has shown us the Supreme Court can function just fine with eight justices. With all the budget cuts Republicans would still like to make, here’s a place they can easily save money on a justice’s salary, by not confirming the extraneous Gorsuch.
5Anchors Aweigh, baby! Donnie brought/bought himself a table of deplorable to meet with him to promote his nomination of Gorsuch. When Wayne La Pierre and Grover Norquist are on the ‘reasons why’ roster, why not simply tie a couple of Hobby Lobby buildings around the guy’s neck and toss him in the swamp.
Constitutional? Hobby Lobby?!? Sorry. Must stop there in deference to Mama.
6Agree with all of you. Have called/emailed/petitioned my Senators & Congress critter that the responses begin with “Good to hear from you, again”. Well, I’m retired and have made being a large thorn in trump’s enormous butt my new job. I may not have much money, but my arthritic dialing finger still works !
