Stoned Again

February 23, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so remember how Roger Stone told the judge that he was “having trouble putting the food on the table and making rent,” so that pretty much entitles him to make threats and yack off his mouth?

That whine was, of course, after he told pre-trial services that his consulting income was $47,000 a month.  Yeah, I dunno if I could survive on that either.

You know, I think the judge should have told him that she knew of a place where she could get him into that’s free rent and board.  Voila! Problem solved!

His 3,850 square foot rent house in Florida has a Zillow’s rent estimate of $11,116 a month. He also rents an Upper East Side apartment in New York City.

Ya wanna know why Roger Stone doesn’t own any houses?

Here’s why:

The Coral Way address [his Florida home] is the latest in a string of high-end, waterfront home rentals for the Stones in Broward and Miami-Dade. A good reason for that is likely the $1.48 million in outstanding federal tax liens against the couple on any property they might own.

Yeah, a million and half dollars. The guy owes the United States $1.5 million.

It seems to me that Stone going to jail would solve everybody’s problems.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

  1. About 50% of that debt is over 10 years old. How the hell do you push off the tax collectors that long?

Anyway no wonder he was trying to wiggle into the cash flow between Trump and Russia. No other way short of major drug deals could he pry loose that kind of money

I doubt Trump is in tax debt but this gives you an idea of what he is hiding with his returns.

  2. I suppose he could just buy a copy of The Art of The Deal and solve all his money problems by listening to that very good brain…hmm, well, maybe not.

I owed the IRS less than $200 once due to a mistake on my part, and they hounded me unmercifully until I got it paid. How do you go twelve years with that kind of tax owed?

  3. Ironic. All the cheats and deadbeats floating in the Republicon swamp have an enlarged sense of entitlement. Republicons, the same people who would “privatize” your Social Security making it easier to steal the money you contributed and your employers contributed for years. Money you earned, including the employer contributions since your salary, wage and upkeep costs or what you were paid was what your employer figured you earned minus all the costs associated with local, state, federal withholding and sometimes medical insurance. For instance, if you were paid $30/hour, it was figured that you were worth $90/hour, but you were not paid that other $60 because of the estimated cost of employing you.

Roger needs your uncollected nickels, dimes and dollars, because he wasn’t able to steal enough $millions to sustain himself. Go fund yourself, Roger. No, it doesn’t rhyme, but it does begin with the same letter.

  4. Somehow that is very good news and kind of brightens my day!

  5. I remember in the 1980’s when deadbeat dads, fathers who didn’t pay child support became an issue.

We need some billboards around the country of deadbeat taxpayers, wealthy people who pay no taxes:

“Why Won’t You Support America? Don’t You Love America?”

  6. Interesting topic, it should be possible to root out Federal IRS, and state/local, tax liens and levies against anyone. Maybe someone will noodle around and come up with a more recent one on Roger Stone, the one shown is from 2014.

And of course, the big prize would be ‘You Know Who’ Just when is RAT45 going to release his IRS tax forms to the public, like everybody else in office does???
I’ll bet he’s got some Form 668’s stuck on his big butt.

Here’s a good explanatory link from LegalBeagle. There are lots of others out there, as a Bing (or Google, etc) search will turn up).
Search for “irs tax liens public records”, “irs tax lien search”, etc.
The IRS Tax Lien Forms are various ‘Form 668-x’ ones. Similar to the Form 990 for checking charitable organizations out.

    https://legalbeagle.com/6664889-search-federal-tax-lien.html

… “Because federal tax liens are public records, you can find out if the federal government has filed a tax lien against you or your spouse,
    ***or anyone else.***
In order to fulfill their function of providing public notice of a government’s claim on a taxpayer’s assets, tax liens must be officially recorded. The IRS records these liens in the taxpayer’s home state with the state recorder’s office. This office goes by different names in different states, but it is usually the same place you record a property deed.” …

  7. Failing to pay those sums year in and year out is tax fraud. Where are those charges?

    7
  8. Putting Stone in jail and attaching his property for back taxes solves a pebble on a whole mountain of Trump-associated problems.

    8
  9. Years ago the IRS claimed that my mother owed them back taxes, plus interest for about five years it took them to figure it out and bill her. She took it to her preparer, and after going through it all he said, “You don’t owe this, but it would cost more than this to argue with them about it, so you may as well give them what they want.” She was furious.

If the IRS can send my mother a bill for money she didn’t owe, how come it lets these massive deadbeats sail on through for years? (And while we’re at it, why does it let rightwing pastors openly tell their congregations how to vote and yet keep their tax-free status? A continuing bugbear of mine.)

  10. Rhea #9,

When you’re rich enough to retain a tax attorney on a monthly basis, you can dayam well get away with a hell of lot more than than your mother.

    10
  11. 1) Stone should remember that it was the IRS and taxes that finally got Al Capone.

    2) The Manford memo out today with Mueller holding out for consecutive sentenceing when the for the D.C. and Virginia charges, one of which he was found guilty in a trial and the other he accepted guilty plea when he tried to scam Mueller on his plea deal. This would total somewhere in the 47 yr range. Maybe that will help stone focus.

    11
  12. For those of you that do podcasts, Chris Hayes’ “Why Is This Happening? with Chris Hayes” podcast recently had an episode: “Can We Tax the Rich? with Jesse Eisinger”^ that covers the poor state of the IRS due to years of GOP starving the agency. It’s cheaper to go after the people that can’t afford to fight back…

  13. And now, for something completely different, not really (it involves tax money, our effen tax money):
Was reading a bit about Micheal Cohen helping out the SDNY and Mueller– something about how Mar-A-Pendejo has claimed ~$17,000,000 million clams in some past storm damage (with FEMA?), but nobody seems to know what got busted up, hmmmm, veeery innteressstting.

    13
  14. Wow, RAT45’s right-hand man, Paul Manafort, just got his sentencing guidelines released by Mr. Mueller: 875 effen pages long! Probably those long legal pages too, single-spaced.
You gotta do a whole lotta baaad chit to pile up 875 pages worth of ‘naughty boy’.

I’m visualizing a ream box (144 pages) of printer/copy paper on a shelf. Lessee, 875/144 = 6.07 boxes of paper, for one set; it’d be sorta hard to lift that pile.
    11″ long (letter) paper x 875 = 9625 inches, 802 feet long.
    14″ (legal) paper x 875 = 12,250 inches, 1,020.8333 feet long.
    Lotta paper.

And 60 million MAGAots didn’t give a fat rat’s ass that they were ‘electing’ the Crime Family Organization Inc. to the White House.

Bet that Vladimir P has a(nother) shiteatingrin on his mangy puss.

  15. Totally off-topic.
Recently I commented here about Christian values, and made what I considered a joke by saying that whatever douchebagery done by so called Christians being discussed was something condoned in the Bible in Acts of the Apostates. I’ve made that joke quite a few times in here for awhile now. I thought it was a clever play on words. Apostle/Apostate. Just recently I actually googled the phrase and found that it was a term used by some to refer to the Book of Jude.
And actual book of the Bible.
Upon reflection, some of the comments I’ve made here using this “joke” could take on different meanings than what I intended. The word arrogance comes to mind.
The egg on my face is a 6-egg s**t omelette the size of a 10″ skillet.
    Sorry.

  16. Linda Phipps says:

It seems to be an ongoing problem with scoundrels (OK, alleged scoundrels) to live larger than they should: in another scandal, R Kelly is unable to post $100,000 bail.

    16
  17. Answer to Rhea on the tax free Churches.

I left one because the Preacher told me who to vote against.
Then, the topper, they sent an email on he Prayer Chain of all places. Comparing Trump to Winston Churchill!

Bou, did they ge a blistering from me.( I had already left!

Oh, did I mention it was Southern Baptist? Those Preachers need money to bribe those little girls!

Do I sound like I despise those right wingers in that Church?

    17
  18. re post 14: Siri says a ream of paper is 500 pages.

    18
  19. Ormond, Oooops. Got it confused with a “gross” of items.
875 pages is still a bunch of ‘baaad doggy’. Can y’all imagine how many pages for Comrade Donnei’s legal wrapup?

Still ain’t gonna have anything to do with Siri, Alexa, Google, Faceborg, or the rest of the ‘surveillance and command society’.
Although I luvs the voice system on my new SUV for controlling various stuff and doing handsfree mobile calls (and the SiriusXM satellite radio is growing on me, the free trial is getting me hooked on a few channels (much of the rest is still crap), dang it). Once a nerd, always a nerd.
