Shuddup, Sean, You’re Not Helping

April 11, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so today Sean Spicer wanted us to understand the evil perpetrated by Assad.  Because, you know, the pictures weren’t enough.

So Sean says the attack was especially awful, “because even Adolf Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II.”

Yeah, wrong.

So then he tries to explain …

“I think when you come to sarin gas, there was no, he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing … there was not in the — he brought them into the Holocaust center, I understand that, but I’m saying in that the way that Assad used them, where he went into towns, dropped them down, to innocent, into the middle of towns, it was brought, the use of it.”

So then he feels the need to clean that one up, too, so after the press conference, he issues a statement.

“I was trying to draw contrast of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers.”

Because one is way worse than the other.

No, wait.  I’m pretty sure he’s gonna say something else. He just can’t help himself.

What the hell is a Holocaust center?

Be social and share!

Spicer, Trump, Bannon, Wingnuts truly sick evil bastards.

Sarin was named BY HITLER for its creators. It stands for

    S-chrader
    A-mbros
    R-itter
    and von der l-IN-de

These four guys working for IG Farben in 1938 created it accidentally while working on pesticides. It was weaponized in 1939 after being found too deadly for agricultural use.

Nazi scientists tested all their chemical weapons on “undesirables,” usually in an attempt to find a workable antidote or prophylaxis for war use. Sometimes, it was just to find better ways to kill more “undesirables” like the mentally ill, those with birth defects, homosexuals, Gypsies and, of course, Jews – anyone deemed less than human by the “Master Race.”

Ten tons of Sarin were produced for use against the Allies. It is theorized that Hitler was dissuaded from using it by a kind of MAD (mutually assured destruction) scenario, where the Allies would respond in kind with whatever they had, including mustard gas, which WAS a threat wielded by Churchill.

No one really knows why the Nazis never used chemical attacks in battle, although Hitler’s personal exposure to them may have played a psychological part. Remember it was a mustard gas attack which temporarily blinded and nearly killed Corporal Hitler at the end of WWI.

But that didn’t stop him from gassing those he considered sub-human.

  7. These people do not know diddlysquat about history, science, government, religion, geography…. Is there ANYTHING they paid attention to, even in elementary school? And they think they’re well-qualified to be in charge of the most powerful country on the planet.

Dang, it’s not MY head I should be pounding on the desk….

  8. Dang! I am so glad I found this site some time ago! Otherwise I would be ignorant of so damn much. As for the decision not to use Sarin against the allies in WWII, even the slightest change in atmosphere would send something of it right back at the people turning it loose. It was not easy to control. Y’all recall the sarin attack in Japan? It was turned loose on people already inside of a train. That is the only way it can be handled. As for Spicey, its not that hard to tangle all your feet up in your mouth when you can’t handle feet or mouth but this fool can’t even do a rewind!

    no?

How’s about those two bombs we dropped during WW II – I guess Nuclear weapons aren’t considered chemical.

    hmmmm.

    12
  13. Wow. “Holocaust Center.” I wonder if Bannon is behind this terminology. It makes it sound like someplace the Jews went to play mah-jongg and have a schvitz. Only thing was, nobody came out alive.

“He was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing”…
Well, technically correct. The gas chambers weren’t used against the general populace, and I doubt those upon whom it was used would’ve been considered “their people” by the Nazi Regime. But the fact that *Spicer* didn’t consider the victims of the Holocaust to be Germans…

    Whisky Tango Foxtrot

    What a shameful oversight…

And Sean, the Holocaust Museum is just across the Mall. You might want to visit it sometime. Expect to spend at least one full day there.

The depths of depravity to which traitor trump’s ‘administration’ sinks gets lower daily. Only trump could have found a gaggle of nursery school dropouts to advise him or like Spicer be a spokesmoron. The ignorance is almost greater in the White House than rethug corruption in the house and senate. Actually I’m surprised that Spicer is able to utter a coherent word containing more than three letters.

    26
  26. What I’m amazed at is Spicer is still in his office. We know Trump has come down hard on him before. Every time he says something stupid like this that makes a field day for the media, I figure Trump is going to fire him.

Then again, maybe he is fulfilling his roll exactly as desired. This story has turned into a wonderful distraction.

    27
  27. Question: when Spicey gets the boot, who is waiting in line to fill the space? Any ideas of who probably will get the slot and who should never be allowed in front of a microphone.

    28
  28. Some concentrated and thorough research (or at least a quick search of Wikipedia) tells me that there were reports that the Germans did use poison gas against some Russian soldiers in caves on the Eastern Front, but like so much of the Eastern Front story, it is little known in the West. Additionally, just after the war, Hermann Goering was asked why the Germans didn’t use gas against the Allies. His answer was that the Wehrmacht was still very dependent on horses for heavy transport and they couldn’t be protected from gas on the battlefield. No such thing as an effective horse gas mask, apparently.

The walk-back that reduced me to screaming at the TV was number 2, I think. The statement that Hitler was better than Assad because he didn’t use chemical weapons on “innocent people.”

    Uh, what?

I’m sure his explanation, if called, would have gone something like, “Well, you know those Jews, Gypsies and Gays — maybe they weren’t so innocent, you know? You just can’t trust THOSE PEOPLE.”

    Or something.

How could he just keep making it worse? Let me count the ways.
