Secretary of Education Is Already in Training for a Trump Administration

December 19, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Betsy DeVos, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Murdering Public Education, is completely ready to serve Trump.  She has experience at being unethical.

betsy_devos_2005_cropDevon and her education PAC owe $5.3 million in fines for breaking campaign finance laws in Ohio.  Her PAC campaigned for “school choice.”  That means she supports using tax dollars to corporatize education.

The PAC asked the commission whether it was allowed to contribute more than the $10,000 limit to an affiliate in Ohio. Even though the commission advised that such a move would be in violation of state law, All Children Matter proceeded to provide $870,000 to the Ohio outfit.

Laws, smaws, we don’t need no stinkin’ laws and we ain’t gonna pay the fines either. We are rich, white, privileged and own gold furniture.

  1. It has been my experience to see what happens to people who fool around with money like she does. Anyone caught doing this stuff without owning a bentley or whatever usually gets it in the neck. Kinda think these upper crust types actually believe they do not have a neck!

  2. Maggie: Awhile back there was a study done researching who felt the most entitled to something that wasn’t theirs. If l remember right, they set up a situation where someone “accidentally” left their wallet or money clip on a table at a sidewalk restaurant or somesuch, in front of people and then observed how they reacted. Whether they pocketed it or tried to return it. Then the researchers stopped them and surveyed their status by wealth. Guess who was the most dishonest? That’s right, the rich folks. Most of the time the neediest people were the ones who tried the hardest to do the right thing. The only part that kinda surprised me was that I got the impression that the rich folks, when informed that they were seen pocketing the money, had nothing like remorse or embarrassment. Hey, that’s what anyone would do, right?

  3. And these are the folks that Donnie Douchebag is giving the keys to the kingdom to. No possibilities of personal (even more) enrichment here. Nosiree. Hell, all they have to do is look at their new boss as an example of how to conduct themselves……wait….

  4. @P.P., there’s a good reason why Jesus had a soft spot for the poor and generally viewed the rich with scorn.

  5. PP, when you are often that down and out, all you’ve got left is your integrity. Too bad the deep pocket slobs miss that heartwarming experience.

  6. The rich seem oblivious to the fact that our taxes which are to be used to support the PUBLIC schools, should not be used to create de facto segregated schools which are not subject to the same rigid standards and oversight as the our public schools.
Hope this all comes out in confirmation hearings and prevents another horrible Trump appointment which could irretrievably
damage public education. Although, one can only imagine who might be waiting in the wings.

  7. Maryelle, I agree! Whoever is waiting in the wings does not even have to have anything to do with education in their resume. It could very well be Kris Kobach of Kansas and FAIR membership fame. He would be an evener, keeping immigrant and refugee children out of schools of any sort!

  8. Her corporate private schools will continue to have human teachers… for awhile. In the meantime they’ll outsource teaching positions in public schools to India and the Philippines (“Honey, have you noticed little Jimmy has started speaking with an accent?”), then artificial intelligence (“Honey, have you noticed little Susie sounds more and more like Siri lately?”) until the bugs are worked out and the real cost savings can be applied across the board into private schools, colleges, and retraining facilities for recently redundant workers.

“Johnny, why are you talking to the Roomba?”

Obeying the law, paying taxes? Pshaw, those troublesome things are for Little People.

  10. She’s just another whoring courtesan in the inferior court of The Hollow Cheato…

I can see them funneling public money to church run “charter schools.” The ones teaching that stuff about dinosaurs being demons killed by angels and malarkey like that. Soon afterwards a local government grants give a mega corporation a big tax break to relocate. (Yes, YOU Ft Worth). Mega Corp Inc. realizes their local hires are ignorant and have really strange ideas.

  12. Vouchers turn public schools into de facto segregated schools, which are not subject to the rigorous standards and oversight as public schools. They divert much-needed funds (our taxes) away from public education, which undermines its ability to address the increasingly difficult demands made to furnish staff and resources for special needs children as well as mainstream education. Do more with less is the mantra of people like DeVos to the public schools. Hopefully her financial violations will be brought to light in the confirmation hearing, but who knows what unsuitable candidate lies in wait.

  13. If “ignorance is bliss”, then thank to Betsy and “Fuax News” ( flawed and biased). We are on the path to becoming the most blessful nation on Earth
