  1. I didn’t know that the Mexican army had “invaded” Texas in 2005 on a relief mission after Katrina:

    “By the time their mission in San Antonio ended Sept. 25, the Mexicans had served 170,000 meals, helped distribute more than 184,000 tons of supplies and conducted more than 500 medical consultations.”

    I’m guessing that none of them were rapists or drug couriers with calves like cantaloupes…..

  2. Yes they had. And so many others wanted to do something and offered help but were told to get lost. The Dutch, the Canadians, the Norwegians and Qatar set up a $100 million fund two weeks after Katrina.

  5. Thanks, Sandridge, for the reminder of Dubya’s insensitivity and general incompetence during the aftermath of Katrina.
    Can’t imagine why he showed up for the commemorative ceremony, except of course, his insensitivity and incompetence.
