Ponder on This

John Edwards, who is the scummiest man on earth, was found not guilty on one count and a mistrial on the other counts.

Tom DeLay was found guilty on all counts.

When the dickens is that little bugger going to jail?  Honey, when you’re worse than John Edwards, that’s doing something.  You cannot do that by accident.

Thank God Gene Rayburn is no longer with us, but you might want to hook a turbine to his coffin, because it’s time to play the Match Game, John Edwards edition:

Edwards is so slimy, his [blank] slipped off [blank].

When they told Rielle the jury was hung, she replied, “So is [blank].”

I wouldn’t say Edwards’ attorney is unethical, but he has a tattoo of [blank].

Edwards is so sleazy, he asked one of the jurors for her [blank].

Edwards needed the money so bad, his campaign ad said, “Will [blank] for cash.”

Edwards jurors are so dumb, they think “conspiracy” is the way politicians [blank].

The Edwards judge got so mad at the jury, she threw [blank] at them.

Edwards had health issues at the start of the trial: his heart was [blank].

I had CNN on a little while ago and they went live to Edwards post-trial press conference. I kinda half listened until he started talking about how much his kids miss their Mom and how he gets up and makes their breakfast every morning. I had to turn it off before I vomited on my TV.

  3. Did you notice how he got all choked up when he came to saying how much he loves Quinn? That’s his baby girl with Rielle Hunter … seems like the kids with Elizabeth don’t mean quite as much as that child does even though he said he truly, truly loves all his kids, but Quinn practically had him in tears.

You can bet if he has to sit in jail and/or prison for the 1 count, it won’t be for very long! The man is just disgusting!

Rdwards is a great salesman. He sold a lot of us on his integrity. Now we find he had never had any. Shame on him and his lies and craven crap.

Now, JJ, I have to disagree with you on this one. John Edwards is a real scuz bucket, but he can’t hold a candle to His Newtness.

  6. But Edwards only f***ed Rielle–DeLay f***ed EVERYBODY! That K Street Project was Machiavellian. Unfortunately for DeLay it was Mayberry Machiavellian. Come to think of it, DeLay was kinda like the velvet fist in the iron glove, wasn’t he?

Oh I don’t know, I think they gots a big houseful of scuz buckets tryin’ to take over the White House and none of ’em is gonna be called President. They make Edwards look purty nice.

I don’t think we’re done with bad news about John. His kind, like Limbaugh and DeLay, can’t help from tripping over their male member and falling flat on their face.

  9. From Yahoo News:
“The investigation was originally spearheaded by George Holding, the then-U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Appointed by President George W. Bush, Holding made a name for himself with criminal probes of high profile Democrats, including the state’s former governor. When President Barack Obama came into office, Holding managed to forestall being replaced by a Democrat for years while the Edwards investigation was ongoing. He eventually resigned in 2011 as Edwards was indicted and soon announced his candidacy for Congress, winning in the GOP primary last month.”

The jury, in this case just decided that “scum baggery” adultery, and stupidity… are not criminal.

Edwards got a life sentence. He has to face his kids for the rest of his life.

  10. Uncle Dave says:

In closing argument Edward’s attorney stated that his client’s conduct was shameful. Edwards admitted that he had done an awful lot that was wrong and no one else was responsible for his sins. Has Delay ever conceded he did something only embarassing? I have to go with Miemaw’s verdict; Edwards earned a life sentence of shame. But is Edwards the scummiest man on earth? If you throw a rock in the Texas capitol it might easily bounce off one man and hit another, both at least as scummy as he.

John Edwards betrayed a lot of folks. The worst was his betrayal of his wife and children. Somewhere on down the line he betrayed folks like Uncle Dave, committed to support his campaign. If his family can forgive him then I must as well. But ever trust him? HELL NO!

Now Rielle’s going to write a tattle-tale book about it all. Ain’t that just PEACHY!

I have a theory that men of “that generation” must have been standing behind the door when they were handing out the fidelity gene, or something. Long line of Baby Boomer types who couldn’t keep it zipped….like Edwards, Bill Clinton, Newt, Gary Hart, Bob Woodward, on and on. Or maybe they were all told, and believed, that they were God’s Gift to Women. Who knows. There are examples everywhere. I am my X-husband’s first wife…. he gets one more, he’ll have a six-pack! I guess that makes me the senior partner, since I was the one who paid for his damned law degree. I’ve wondered if the reason he went to law school was to better stalk attractive women in the courthouse, or to be able to get his buddies to handle his divorces for him. He’s definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Common sense? Duh. None of them have any.
