Oops.

Bless his heart.

Perry was on Fox News after Trump said during an news conference that the former governor was getting out of the GOP race.

Perry began by misusing a cliche.

“A broken clock is right once a day,” Perry said.

Oh dear.

There’s Rick Perry – not right even once a day.

Thanks to Susan on the left coast for the heads up.

“Oops” the shorter version of the classic Dubya: “There’s an old saying in Tennessee – I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee – that says, fool me once, shame on – shame on you. Fool me – you can’t get fooled again.”

The Fools and Tool Party strikes again …

  2. “A broken clock is right once a day,” Perry said.

He’s either half right, or all wrong.
Either way, it’s not good odds for a guy who wants to run the country.

He was using the nautical clock: and lost at sea anyhow.

That would be a 24-hour digital clock.

  6. I’d call pRick a dork, but that would be an insult to dorks.

I’m just waiting for Perry to say it’s right once a day and once a night. Oh damn, did I just give him an out. Oh well, it will be fun to have him around for a while.

  8. Buh Bye, Rick!

  9. A broken Rick Perry is rightwing forever.

  10. Gasping for air, thats what he was doing!

    Adios, muchacho!

I feel kinda sorry for Perry, being up against Trump. Nobody oughta have to be up against Trump. It’s not fair.

Or maybe it’s a case of chickens come home to roost. I don’t know.

    12
  13. I don’t want all of us to be up against Trump either.

    13
  14. If you combined the intelligence of Abbot and Perry would you get one right winger of average intelligence. As far as we know, they can tie their shoes and Perry can operate a comb.

To imply Rick Perry is a muchacho is an insult to Hispanics everywhere!!!!!

  18. Frankly I’m going to miss him. Not as much as I would miss Trump or Carson or Fiorina, but the Klown Kar just isn’t the same if it’s not packed chock full of klowns. After all, they represent the cream of the GOP and are the best possible argument for voting for a Democrat.

    18
  19. Next debate format:

Adults’ table: Carly and 9 Dwarves
    Kids’ table: 6 other klowns
High chair: Rick Perry, and a bib.

    19
  20. Polite Kool Marxist says:

daChipster, your format is perfection. However, CNN being the ‘chicken noodle network’ has messed with the numbers. Snarly Purina will be at the ‘adults’ table, but CNN neglected to subtract a klown.

  21. Paul Vaughan says:

@brian. And the reason TGIF is printed on boots at A&M. You know: Toes Go In First. Devil made me say that.

    21
  22. Paul Vaughan, I had no idea!

    22
  23. OK, Perry is half wrong/right. He couldn’t be using a 24 clock, that is something all those furrinrs use for their transportation schedules.

Totaly unacceptable in the USofA, even if it is unambiguous, mabe he is wishing he were bsck in the USAF?

  24. e platypus onion says:

A broken clock being right once a day is still more righter than Perry. A broken clock knows not to gloat over dumbass humans.

    24
  25. daChipster says:

“What I meant was a watched clock never boils. Or never boil your watch.”

It’s a quarter past oops, Rick, on your personal cuckoo clock.
