Oh Good Lord, Rudy

January 16, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, So Rudy Giuliani has backed up so much that he’s left the zip code of sanity.

He now says that Trump didn’t collude but he doesn’t know if any campaign aides did.

“I never said there was no collusion between the campaign, or people in the campaign,” Giuliani said.

No, that’s not right.  He said “the campaign.”

Is he saying there was only a little collusion?

  1. “It’s not Trump’s fault. He didn’t think he would get caught.”

  2. By way of Mary Poppins:

In every job that must be done
There is an element of fun
You find the fun and snap!
    The job’s a game

A Spoonful of Rudy helps the President go down
    The President go down-down
    The President go down
Just a spoonful of Rudy makes the President go down
    In a most delightful way

  3. Perhaps Mr. Mueller has recently ‘reached out and touched’ good ol’ Ghouliani, in a most appropriate manner of course… causing Rudy911 to fearfully wee his panties. Sounds as if Mueller is tightening the noose(s).

Remember, we just mostly see the kabuki theater ‘reality show’ of this stuff. The actual action is still mostly hidden away, so far.

The parallels to the UK are interesting. PM Theresa May had an historic defeat over Brexit yesterday, but survived todays’ ‘no confidence’ vote because her Conservative block held firm. The whole Brexit thing seems to have been initially engineered, in part, by Putin and Russian influence too; with some of the same players such as Cambridge Analytica involved.

Sort of what we are faced with here, the Rethugs still hold most of the actual power. Even as their popularity declines precipitously.

  4. I love the smell of indictments early in the morning.

I do believe it’s Mueller time.

  5. Forgive me

But today a government agency admitted that it did not check with the basic law of the land, the US Constition, when it signed off on demented donnies post office lease.

The lawyer said words to the effect that the constitional restrictions were outside their perview.

  6. Ever see films of the old original Punch and Judy puppet show? Giuliani impresses me as a former cast member.

  7. Sandridge reminds me of the editorial cartoon of Brits and Americans pointing at each other and saying, “See, it could be worse!”

Actually Donnie signed the lease on the Old Post Office (a very handsome old building on PA Ave) in 2013, and he wasn’t elected to anything then. Still isn’t, as far as I’m concerned. But he should not be raking in the cash from foreigners– at least– staying there while trying to butter him up. The Saudis leased a whole floor for the inauguration.

  8. “backed up so much that he’s left the zip code of sanity.”

Oh dear, I think I need to steal that. With acknowledgement foot note of course.

  9. Whoever occupies the white house next needs to bring in a shaman to smudge the place and a Jesuit to cast out demons. Something horrible happens to people who work there now.

  10. Is “only a little collusion” anything like “only a little bit pregnant”?

But during and after the election when a legal challenge was put before the GAO they ruled it was not in violation of any rules.
This was presented that after review it didn’t violate the emoluments clause in Constitution.
Now the GAO admits they never considered the Constitition because to the it was not relevent.
Then the official left government service for a pay off in the private sector.

  12. I had the same reaction, trixicopper. And I think the comparison to pregnancy is valid. At first, there is little to see, but gradually, as the collusion continues, much more is obvious to the naked eye.
Although pregnancy’s outcome is usually joyous, emolument fraud , collusion, conspiracy, money-laundering and voter fraud, to name but a few, result in particularly foul consequences.
Time to clear out the stench.
