No. Absolutely Not.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions was sent out to announce the repeal of DACA because God only knows what Trump would have said and this had lots of big words.  Sessions said Obama did not care diddle squat about the rule of law.  Hell, Sessions, Trump doesn’t even know what it is.

Just like I predicted, this is about Obama.  Sessions spent the first half of the speech lambasting Obama and the whole second half of the speech was about how wonderful Trump is.  Sessions even gave Trump credit for the reduction in the number of people from Mexico trying to get into the United States.  Damn, fool.  Most people are trying to get out.

Then he said this:

Societies where the rule of law is subject to political whims and personal biases tend to become societies afflicted by corruption, poverty, and human suffering.

I think he just described Trump.

This is the cruelest thing the United States has done in my lifetime and I promise you this: I will not stand idly by and let them removed DACA Dreamers from my hometown.  These kids were vetted, they have to stay in school or employed, they had to pay $500 plus attorney fees to apply, they cannot have a felony or a serious misdemeanor, and they want to be Americans enough to work for it.  They pay social security and they cannot receive any welfare whatsoever, including food stamps.

When they applied, they gave the government their addresses and the addresses of their family members because, dammit, they trusted us.  Now we’e going to use that information to track down 800,000 of them and send them to a country most of them have never known.

And from a purely practical standpoint, what are we going to do about DACA Dreamers in the military?  Who the hell is going to rebuild Houston?

The above hissy fit was brought to you by Jeff Sessions, the most pitiful excuse for man on planet earth.

Be social and share!

  1. Impeach the sumbitch! This violates international law.

  2. JAKvirginia says:

There’s a book out there, published some time ago named “The Millionaire Next Door”. It does the service of detailing who in this country is the driving force of new business creation and entrepreneurship — first generation immigrants. So thanks Donnie. You’re going to kill one of the major drivers of job creation.

If this idiot doesn’t resign, there remains but two ways to remove him from office:
    (1) Impeachment, or
    (2) Assassination.

And if this Congress lacks the courage for #1, I’m almost certain someone out there will find it for #2. Sad.

Not only is our country breaking its word — we’re creating nearly a million refugees.

  4. For everyone’s evangelical friends: King James Bible, Leviticus 19:34. “But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

  5. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions … sorry for what I was thinking, Mama. Will leave it at that.

Donnie laid down the gauntlet with the snacilbueR in Congress. Six months, boys, to get some legislation on his desk. Maybe Little Marco can dust off whatever it was that he and the ‘gang of eight’ produced before folding like cheap tents in a hurricane.

  6. Linda Phipps says:

Jane and PKM: you can’t say it and I can’t say it but maybe we and millions of others can send a mind-vibe to someone who doesn’t give a shit anymore and do what we are thinking.

  7. Texas Expat in CA says:

To talk about the rule of law after Trump’s pardon of Joe Arpaio, an act that was ALL about “political whims and personal biases” is so hypocritical I don’t know how even Sessions managed it with a straight face. Unbelievable.

    7
  8. Yeah, the good news is that Congress can fix this and that everybody except the RWNJs is telling them to do it. The bad news is the six-month deadline. Those fools (not all of them, of course) love deadlines for the whoosh they make as they go by. They pile everything up to the last moment, including keeping the whole government funded and running. I don’t have a lot of faith that they’ll come up with anything god on a six-month deadline, but I have to hope.

  9. Tears came to my eyes when I saw the picture of that fine young DACA-recipient man, who rejected the caution of his father to end up giving his life in trying to help others during the Houston floods. And this is how we pay back his family (I sure hope they’re being taken care of)? There are times when I am ashamed to be the bearer of a U.S. passport. This morning was one of them.

    9
  10. He is the meanest man in our country……I am so embarrassed by dump……Sessions is just an uneducated yes guy. It is sick.

    10
  11. I am filled with horror and rage at the damage these evil monsters are doing to our country. I never thought in all my years that anything like this would ever happen. I hope that Congress will stop this heinous act but I am not certain they will.

I too am ashamed of this country.

    11
  12. Juanita Jean Herownself says:

Amen to that, Texas Expat in CA. That just totally slipped my mind but you are totally on target! Thanks.

  13. Jane & PKM says:

VOX article on 4 of the lies told by Jefferson Beauregard Sessions about DACA. Wow. Such huge lies by such a little man.

    https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/9/5/16255436/lies-jeff-sessions-daca

Keep hammering our Congress varmints with the facts and demand they pass immigration reform. Now. No one should be tortured with such abject cruelty and uncertainty of their citizenship in this country.

    13
  14. Every week I send an email to my Republican rep and the subject line is
“Whose side are you on”? I then let her know why I think she and the rest of the Republicans are NOT protecting us from trump.
I have also written a letter to the local paper.

If we ALL write to our representatives weekly and send letters to newspapers.. well if it will not change their minds, it is cathartic.
    Hold them accountable.
Think of how many things Trump has screwed up since Jan.

I am proud that Governor Como has already gone on record saying he will go to court to stop this.
Trump is a wuss. He is the one who runs his business’s with visa workers.
He doesn’t even hire Americans. Nor does he or his family, make their products in the US.

    14
  15. JAKvirginia says:

Ever feel it? Ever feel you didn’t belong? I know we all have — at a party or event. You felt out-of-place and probably just withdrew. Quietly. But it still stung a little, right?

Now think about it in regards to your country, your home. Happened to me. All I was trying to do was get a new driver’s license in FL in 2012, y’know, after the state updated the voting requirements to “keep us safe”. 7 trips to the DMV. Two trips to a SocSec office. Prove I lived in FL. Document upon document. And when the service person at the DMV pawed my 1952 certified-copy FL birth certificate I never felt more alone.

I have never been outside the lower 48. Ever. I served in the USN Reserves for 6 years. Voted in every major election since I was 18. But then, at the age of 59, some “clerk” in a DMV eyed me as if I was a member of ISIS. I never felt so isolated. So “not-an-Anerican”. I could have cried.

This is a huge betrayal to all those who trusted in the integrity of the United States. Yes, the loss is theirs, but so too is it ours. We have become a country not worth trusting. It will haunt us far into the future. Until we are the ones not wanted.

    15
  16. “Jeff Sessions, the most pitiful excuse for a man on planet earth” that really just about says it all. he must be running very scared. Should’a got more lucrative bribes while he had the chance. a man or woman with any nutz at all would’ve told the scrotus to pound sand months ago. actually, he or she would no doubt have the self-esteem to not climb on this clown train in the first place!

    16
  17. Sessions just described the whole Republican cult.
Extremism – Hatred of ‘the Others’ consumes your whole life.
Yes it’s definitely bout Obama hilariously spanking Trump at the hilarious Correspondence dinner.

    17
  18. Hope more governors follow Cuomo’s lead and sue to right this wrong. President Obama did the right thing in creating DACA.
The fact that the hard right wants it undone shows just how heartless, ignorant and cruel the Republican Party has become.
Their underlying motivation is to ultimately remove as many Latinos as possible, by any means necessary, so they can’t vote Democratic in the upcoming elections.

    18
  19. We made Dreamers self-register already. Perhaps Trumpco will want them to wear identifying armbands next.

    19
  20. Republicans.
    Christian Republicans.

    DACA:
    WWJD

    20
  21. Annabelle Lee says:

President Obama asked Congress to send him a bill protecting the children of undocumented workers. For YEARS. They did nothing. Hence the executive order.

Now that the program has been in place for a while and is a stunning success, I’m hoping Congress will listen to their constituents and finally send up a bill for the current occupant of the White House to sign. And then… well, then we’ll see.

    21
  22. My congressman just tweeted that at the local uni “there are 93 #DREAMers currently enrolled. Many in STEM majors averaging 3.55 GPAs or better”. Heck we can’t get American kids to go into STEM (have you visited an engineering school lately?) and we’re gonna MAGA by getting rid of these kids. I wish I could adopt them all.

    22
  23. A big AMEN for all the great comments! I couldn’t agree more with them. Both tRump and the Evil Elf are the lowest forms of the human race. I cry over what they are doing to our country.

    23
  24. Minor correction.
Jesff Sessions is the Second Most Pitiful Excuse for a man on planet Earth.
The Most Pitiful is his boss.

    24
  25. Jonathon Hubbert says:

Ample Rump/.45 just gave Democrats the 2018 Congressional mid-term elections. 1/3 of repub votes just evaporated. No matter what.

    25
  26. Jane & PKM says:

Jonathon Hubbert, please don’t tell the DNC or the RNC that 2018 could be a roust. Democrats have that nasty habit of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. We need them thinking that every vote counts and to show up for the election. As for the RNC, Jane & I live in a state with Shelly Adelson and Koch money and we have two young boys. The last thing we want is a flood of dark money shouting lies and throwing up stuff on the TV we don’t want our boys to see.

The attack ads and lies against Senator Cortez Masto in 2016 had us explaining things to our son KJ that we weren’t ready to explain. In 2018 our baby Jack will be old enough to ask questions, too. We’re prepared to give the boys a healthy sex education that’s age appropriate, but we sure aren’t wanting them to hear about sex lies snacilbupeR style.

    26
  27. Jefferson (as in Davis) Beuregard (as in tent show comedy) Sessions is a waste of DNA. Seriously, I am not going to shed one crock-a-dile tear for this wad of nothing when the Barking Yam eats him for dinner, something I really think he has wanted to do in the White House for a good while now. Tip: JBS goes down good with ketchup!

    27
  28. 1smartcanerican says:

JAKvirginia – what a horrible experience with government bureaucracy at the highest level! I don’t mean to pry, but am wondering if it is because you are not lily-white – and being one them myself, I often feel very guilty for something that is not my fault. But I sure do hate the “white” people in government and society who somehow believe that gives them a pass on almost everything. What all these stupid old white men believe that somehow they are the “original” IMMIGRANTS in this country is so stupid! Unless one is a Native American, one is an immigrant or the descendants of immigrants. How unbelievably arrogant of these people – it is “I’ve got mine, *%&^ you!”.

    28
  29. “Christian Republicans.” I’ve come to the conclusion that is a contradiction in terms.

I listened to that Elfin Oafin on the radio. I wanted to reach right through the radio, grab that little bastard by those big floppy ears, and slap his face as hard as I could until he sobbed, blubbered, wet and defecated on himself. All on live television.

    29
  30. Letter I just sent to Trump:
You know that you’ve done the wrong thing – shutting down DACA is a cruel meaningless act. Giving Congress 6 months to fix the problem with no help from the White House is absolutely irresponsible. All of this apparently to shore up your base.
When you become President you no longer have a base. One of the things that happens is that all of Americans become your base. Like it or not you have many more people to answer to than you ever had before the election. One of the roles of any President is to unite the country. So far, starting with the Muslim ban, trying to destroy ACA healthcare, firing Comey, appointing a cabinet from the 1% and putting idiots (Rick Perry) climate deniers (Scott Pruitt) incompetent billionaires (Betsy Devos) and a guy who was voted down as a federal judge as Attorney General you’ve only gone through and written executive orders to countermand the very good things that Barack Obama did when he was President. I guess you and your staff are too lazy to try and generate legislation for some of these matters. I notice that your signature is getting larger on the meaningless executive orders. I suggest you write smaller and act larger – over 60% of the electorate (that’s all the voters) do not want the DACA program ended. Same with healthcare.
You can be a much more generous President than you have thus far shown. Do this for Americans.
    Thank you,
    Barb Allen

  31. Here Groopenfuehrer elfenkeebler was positively orgasmic at the thought of being able to screw as many as 800,000 “others” at one time while delivering a speech Cheeto didn’t have the testicular fortitude to deliver himself.
Now is the time, more than ever to phone your Congress person (in my case, congressvermin) and put the heat on them to do the right thing.

  32. Sweet Crabby says:

What would happen if we adopted a Dreamer?

    32
  33. I think the best option for many Dreamers would be to apply for Canadian citizenship. They’re young, educated/skilled, and already know English. Unlike our own benighted government, Canada actually values these traits. And Canada also welcomes refugees, so they’d probably expedite the paperwork. Our loss would be their gain.
