My Suspicions About Greg Abbott

November 28, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

As you might have guessed by now, Juanita Jean has no use for Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.  “I never liked him and always will,” she says quite often.

Juanita suspects that the only reason that Greg Abbott did not ask for Justice Department pre-clearance is because he wants to appeal redistricting  to the Supreme Court, asking that they’ll declare the 1965 Civil Rights Act to be unconstitutional.  And this court might do it.

You know, Kayne West was right – Republicans don’t like black people.  They don’t like brown people either.  And having a black person in the White House makes them pretty near crazy.  The 1965 Voting Rights Act is all that stands between them and their quest for Screw You, Buddy! Democracy.

I could be totally wrong.  I’ve been wrong before and it didn’t kill me.  But I don’t think I’m wrong this time.  They don’t want smaller government; George Bush proved that.  They want white good-ole-boy giant government, with everybody else funding it.  They are not going to be happy until they get slavery back.  Hell, Newt almost let the cat out of the bag talking about no child labor laws.

I cannot think of anyone I would rather have arguing for our side that Attorney General Eric Holder.  And I have a feeling that the ghost of Lyndon Johnson is gonna haunt those who mock the courage it took for him to sign that act.
