I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.

Wow, saw at another site someone wondering if Texas had a constitution that mandated sending the looniest people in the state to congress. Is this true, Louie sure qualifies as a goon.

7LynnN and Rubymay-why do you hate ‘murrica? Tax the rich and the terrorists win. The rich can’t afford any taxes,let alone more taxes. The wealthy are much more appreciative of handouts. Give them money and they hang on to it. Give the poor some food and they eat it and want more. Now who would you rather provide for? The needy wealthy or the greedy poor?

20Yes, the classic scenario. How about a welfare queen with a Cadillac? Two thoughts immediately come to mind. First, how many GOPers have ever really encountered someone on food stamps? Isn’t it just possible that these stories are exaggerated? Secondly, while we may acknowledge the presence of fraud, one must weigh the positive utility of the program against the negatives of the fraud. Obviously, there was no fraud in corporate welfare. No waste in the bailouts to big oil.
21It would appear that the Republicans of TX seem to really like electing absolute morons. Gomer may not be the dumbest person currently holding elective office in TX but he’s GOT to be in the top 3 at least. Most boxes of rocks are brighter than he is. The late night comedians really should do more with him. IMO, he’s a gift and a treasure trove of comedy. ;-}
