Just In Case You’ve Been Missing Louie

February 18, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

So, have you been wondering what’s up with Louie Gohmert?

Well, he ain’t spending all his campaign money on barbeque.

He’s been saving some for his favorite organization – the NRA.

Campaigns for Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) have both spent at least $1,000 on NRA dues. Gohmert’s campaign paid the organization $1,500 in 2016, while Blunt’s campaign spent $1,000 on dues in 2010.

The rules say that members of congress cannot pay for memberships in organizations unless it’s an organization they wouldn’t join unless they were an elected official.

So, that right a there is a good enough reason to vote against Louie.  The NRA won’t get any more money.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

  1. Does anyone actually miss Louie? Ever?

I just checked on the NRA web site and $1500 gets you a lifetime membership (with the official leather jacket) and they’ll let you pay in installments (monthly or quarterly). Ordinary members pay $40 for a year’s subscription to the magazine.

  3. How can we miss him when he won’t go away?

Had to share: third grade base ball team kids in Missouri has been asked to sell raffle tickets for an AR-15 military-style assault weapon. Defending himself from ‘outraged’ decent people, the kids’ coach, Levi Patterson, is insisting that it is not a killing machine. (the winner an use it to ice cup cakes?)

The weapon was donated by a local gun shop with the witty name “Black Rain Ordinance”

We could buy it and turn it over to the sheriff. Nah, no money to kids whose coach pushes assault weapons. Of course, have you ever had to go around begging for items to raffle for your school organization? I have. Local businesses get hit hard. Corporations just say it’s not in their budget. Another reason to be grumpy about corporations.

  6. So, Louis would not join the NRA had he not been elected?

That just makes him more of a whore.

  7. Long, long ago I was up to my neck in the local PTA. I was tasked with asking local merchants for donations of prizes to form up a raffle event to raise $$ not for the PTA but for the school. Discovered then that the chain supermarkets will part with actual money if approached ahead of time. This came as a real ground shaker to the other PTA members and officers. No one had ever told them that! Left me wondering why. Fortunately, there wasn’t a single gun shop in our area back then and they are still located way out someplace else. Would not have approached them for whatever reason. Gun use rules are strict around here. For years in the suburbs there were very large patches of forest populated by deer etc. But because they were rimmed with housing, hunting was absolutely forbidden. If you had a real itch to hunt, you had to go pinto the mountains . . . and spend money on a license!

Thanks for the post. I for one have not missed Looney Louie, although he is in some regards less offensive that Russian puppet Kim Jong Drumpf.
