Just In Case You Missed It

There was another school shooting today.  You can find it tucked under the fold after Franken, California fires, Hezbollah responding to the Trump foolishness, and more Franken.

Two students were killed after gunfire erupted early Thursday at a New Mexico high school, according to law enforcement authorities.

The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office said the person believed to have opened fire at Aztec High, a school of about 1,000 students near the Colorado border, is also dead.

It doesn’t even make the news anymore.

Thanks to Deb for the heads up.

  1. Yet even the so called D candinate for Gov. Wendy Davis rolled over and espressed her support for the NRA’s pro murder agenda in 2014.
When the D’s in texas start getting real by denouncing the NRA and placing it, and its members, on the terrorist watch list I might take outrage more seriously.
But to support candinates who are paid off pets of the murder lobby as D candinates then to be upset when the logical events of their blind acqueiessence to as a result of the pro murder agenda they support seems to be a touch of cognitive dissonace

  2. School shootings barely make the news these days. Even if Roy Moore was seen before the shooting abusing a sophomore, it wouldn’t make the news. If Roy Moore was spotted in a coffee shop afterwards with Donald Trump discussing how all girls lie it wouldn’t…

  3. This happened at the elementary school my grandkids attended. One kid shot another dead. This freaked out the entire county. Elementary, mind you. Not high school.

  4. We, as a nation, apparently just shrug now when little kids get shot. Little kids.

  5. Maggie, I am so sorry. My father in law and mother in law lived in Farmington, (not far from Aztec), we were stunned to hear this – particularly so because it hasn’t been mentioned on the news. I hope your grandkids are alright and not too badly shaken.

  6. Deb, They were ticked off like I have never seen before in such young people. They were the ones who hollered at mom and dad about an investigation as to why that boy was in school when he should have been in a special school for kids with big problems. They did not know the victim but did feel for him and his family. They also realized lightening quick that their lives as school kids were changed forever. For one thing, there was no longer the natural assurance that when they went to school they would be safe. They had to change their own behavior to a large extent. But they are for all intents and purposes safe now.
