Jeb Hensarling

October 31, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The Texas congressvarmint who almost since-handedly destroyed every banking regulation we got under Obama, is now ready to join Corporate America and reap his rewards while he can.

The powerful chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling, a Dallas Republican, announced his retirement from Congress on Tuesday afternoon. He is currently serving his eighth term in the House.

I guess they are saving the fact that he’s evil as hell and never met a puppy he didn’t kick for his obituary.

It’s a strong GOP district, but I am told that the Democrats have a good candidate in Dan Wood.  Miracles can happen, my friends, and nobody knows what the hell it’s gonna be like in a year.

I am just tickled pink to get rid of Jeb.

  1. Ole Jeb is my Mom’s rep in Big D – they don’t answer the phones and keep doors locked so seniors protest outside.

Also, Sam Clovis is going down – Mueller interviewed him yesterday. At least he won’t be running USDA, maybe get an actual scientist.

Perhaps corporate America will tell Jeb to take a hike. One can dream, but Karma always works even if she take a bit of time.

One more R becomes a lobbyist. Maybe he knows the Republicans may be facing consequences of the Orange Buffoon. No, he sees bigger payouts from his past and future masters.

  4. Well, at worst he’ll be replaced by an R with no seniority.

I live in the southern tip of Hensarling’s squirrely gerrymandered district. Glad to see this guy go and happy to know there is a Democratic candidate already queued up for his seat. Go, Blue!

  7. I always read his last name as Hen-snarling. Hmmmm…

  8. Dan Wood will respresent all of his district rather than the financial industry!

  9. Well, it’s not like he’s bowing out because his dreams and ideals of a humane party have been dashed to pieces! At least he spared us that bit of (fill in the blank). Have been keeping track of all the R’s that have decided to “retire” and largely because of a new deadline appearing on the job. That list is growing. It includes both sides of the Hill. Now if only it includes the WH!

  10. @Eykis, “an actual scientist” won’t be in charge of anything until we get Democrats back at the top. Pruitt at the EPA has just proclaimed that scientists getting EPA grants won’t be allowed to advise the EPA, but “industry experts” will. He thinks government money is the only kind that might bias one’s opinion. So stand by for more toxins from the oil, gas, coal, pesticide, and chemical industries, unfettered by any scientific advice.

I hate these people. More every day. It’s amazing how much.
