Is Trump a Racist?

January 15, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, your neighbors at the New York Times says there is certainly evidence of it going way back from the shithole comment.

They have made a definitive list of Trump’s racist statements and actions and then published it on MLK Day.  As expected, it’s long.

  1. I don’t want to see that list.

At least not today. For a day I want to do my best to reflect on the meaning of MLK Jr. in my life. I remember 1968, and how (now it seems) protected from racism I was (at 7). I am grateful the teachings of Rev. King have much more for me to encompass.

Nothing says love like taking out a full page ad calling for the lynching of young black men exonerated by DNA evidence after having been wrongfully convicted. Or, we could discuss Jeff Sessions and the racist Republican Senators who rubber stamped that appointment. Maybe sending in Betsy DeVos to strip mine for profit the minimal funds available to predominantly minority schools says racist.

And, if the attacks on citizens of color are not happening fast enough on American soil move on to Haiti, El Salvador and the entire continent of Africa to attack people of color before they even think about applying for citizenship. Yeah, really feeling the love, Donnie.

  3. Is the Pope Catholic?
Does the sun rise in the east?
Should one always use lots of cilantro in guacamole?
    Hell, yes!

  4. just for kicks and grins I went over to Fauxnew – the crickets are making a lot of noise of everything but MLK. You would think they would throw in a story or two on the FABOOOLOUS Tweets that the repugs are doing (with no community service )

My thought exactly. Do we now use ‘Is Trump racist’ in place of ‘the Pope Catholic’… or ‘the Bear in the woods?’ Maybe leave out the Bear because s—hole is too similar to s— in the woods?

Decisions, decisions, and it’s only Monday.

Actually, sunrise today at my house is in the southwest, at 1:17 in the afternoon. Sunset will be 4:05, still southwest though a bit more toward west.

But Donald J. “Shithole” Trump is a racist.

Now that you mention it, the bear sometimes poops in my back yard. Right by the steps to the deck. Life in Alaska.

  9. This is Trump’s 361st day as president, and the 121st day he’s visited one of his businesses. He’s literally going to his businesses 1/3 of the time as president.

Oh, and he is a racist.

    9
  10. Sandridge says:

slipstream, “sunrise… 1:17 in the afternoon. Sunset will be 4:05”.

Holleechit, slip, you up in the ANWR or something?
Here it’s sr- 7:22 AM ss- 5:59 PM, almost 11 hours of daylight, compared to less than 3 (brrr).

And it’s 72degF outside. But that’s fixin to change radically with a fropa by 0200h, when a beeg Arctic front blows in, taking it down to ~32degF by morning, then ~26-34degF for a day and a half.

But it’ll be back in the 70’s by Saturday. :]

I’ll bet you’re not even shown on these hemisat’s:

  12. slipstream says:

No, most of ANWR will not have a sunrise at all today. Kaktovik, for example, has the first sunrise of year on January 17, enjoying (if it’s clear) 46 minutes of sun over the horizon.

I’m on the outskirts of Anchorage. The tables give an earlier sunrise and a later sunset, but the tables don’t account for the mountains around my house. I use actual sun-over-the-ridgeline times for my figures.

Some days I get multiple sunrises and sunsets, as the sun dances along the ridgeline.

  13. I’m in New Jersey. We’ve heard him run his vile mouth since the eighties. Yes. He’s a damn racist.

    13
  14. This may be tangential, BUT:

Ari Melber had on the author of “Bush On The Couch”, and “Obama On The Couch” to discuss the concept of Projection. I think his need to belittle and besmirch is covered in an interesting way:

    http://www.msnbc.com/the-beat-with-ari-melber/watch/melber-trump-uses-projection-as-a-defense-tactic-1130560067576

What does this have to do with MLK Jr.? I think he would have seen 45 as a sick and sad individual hoisted by a sea of sick and sad individuals to try to deal with their unreal fears in an fantastic fashion. Trying to cure those people of projecting their angst and world view onto reality, and correcting their damage to the world around them, is the task before us if we are to attempt Dr. Kings goals.

    No biggy, I know…

Slip, been back below zero for a couple more days. Supposed to be mid 40’s above by Friday. Hang tight. Daylight is coming soon.

Sandridge, if you aren’t overburdened with work, start me some short day onion varieties and ship them to iowa no later than the first week of April, kay?

Otherwise I only have the ones coming from Dixondale Farms for that week. Gracias, Senor.
