It’s 12:22 Texas time and I just saw this on the repeal Obamacare vote count –

CBS News reports that 31 GOP House members “cannot support the bill in its current form.”
NBC News says there are 30 who are “against the bill or leaning against it.”
Huffington Post says 29 are “extremely likely to be against” the bill.
The Hill finds 29 who are still against the bill.
New York Times finds 29 “no” votes.

Juanita’s Head Count is 29 nos

Also, the GOP may be losing some moderate votes by adding things the Freedom Caucus likes.

3:01 Texas Time — they are putting off the vote until tomorrow so some Republican representatives can wake up with a horse’s head in their beds.

  1. slipstream says:

My head count is 24,000,000 no.

I’m counting the people who would lose health insurance coverage under TrumpDontCare.

Y’all don’t stroke out, it’s just what they do…(I think Roberts is from Kansass? WTF is the matter with Kansass?)

Senator Pat Roberts thought it appropriate to make a joke about him losing mammogram coverage:

I asked Sen. Roberts if he supports scrapping Essential Health Benefits. “I wouldn’t want to lose my mammograms,” he snarked. #AHCA

I’m watching Sean Spice perform self-immolation on teevee this afternoon.

  4. Marcia in CO says:

I was watching Spicy, listening to him trying to convince reporters that lots of the AHA No voters are now considering giving it a Yes vote!! I hope anyone being bullied into a yes vote will still vote no and we can watch Spicy and Trump implode/explode … well, just make a mess with their blood and guts being flung every which way! LOL

  5. I would volunteer to give Sen. Roberts a manogram. I’m sure there’s a body part(s) I can squish between two metal plates.

  6. sybil wertheim says:

Tom Hartmann said today that the Kochs told the Repubs not to pass this repeal bill……if they don’t vote for it, there will be huge amounts of money available to them for reelections.
I guess they know lots of campaigns would be taken over by the Dems.? Anyone know about this?

    6
  7. charles phillips says:

Yeah, Sybil, it’s all over the web right now. I wonder how they get away with that?

  8. Bernie Spencer says:

$10 says Kelly Conway can spin it as a victory.

  9. And men get breast cancer but guess they don’t care about that. Women should be happy to not have to pay for prostate issues.

    9
  10. two crows says:

Yeah, lots of no votes — primarily by people who are p-o’d by the fact that the bill is too generous for their liking. A bill that would throw 24 million off their insurance is “too generous.”

Reminds me of France during the 18th century and the [untrue but it makes a good story] “Let them eat cake” moment. And we all know what happened next.

May it not come to that here — but the parallels are already abundant.

    10
  11. Don’t those snacilbupeR dances realize that women pay for their viagra pills, prostate exams and all the babies they abandon? But I guess anything about boy parts is something we should all be thrilled to pay for because we’re talking about BOY PARTS!!!

CBS news reports health care bill vote has been postponed.

  13. The GOP cannot support any coverage for mental health…

Think of the impact on gun sales!

  14. Jane & PKM says:

“3:01 Texas Time — they are putting off the vote until tomorrow so some Republican representatives can wake up with a horse’s head in their beds.”

The other end of the horse sleeps in their beds nightly, then shaves in the morning.

    14
  15. Heard from a motor home puttering along with somewhat poor lane maintenance between golf courses in the Southwest, “… I luv ya tomorrow, yer always a day away!” “Oh look it’s that putz Ryan again, thank god for caller ID!”

    15
  16. slipstream says:

I would never make a joke about Republicans not being able to get it up. You know that I am far too polite to do that.

    16
  17. Old Fart says:

On a separate but annoyingly related (Squirrel!?) move, I guess Faux News has more anti-Obama revelations:
“James Rosen of Fox News says that potential “smoking gun” evidence might be presented to the House Intelligence Committee proving that the Obama administration definitively spied on the Trump campaign, and possibly Trump himself.”^

Funny how the timing will divert attention from the potential flop on the House floor…

  18. Holy crap. Somebody really needs to figure out how to get secret service-type protection for Rachel Maddow. Devin Nunes, notsa much.

    18
  19. I just read the truplestilskin has “warned them” to vote on the bill or they are stuck with Obamacare. I can’t figure out if he just doesn’t realize that the congress can come up with a bill on their own or if he means he’ll veto anything else. My gut sense is that it is the first is probably closer to the truth. I don’t think that he realizes yet that he isn’t the boss anymore, and as ceo they are his board of directors, and he doesn’t get whatever he wants all the time.

By the way, just got my ITMFA buttons!

    19
  20. Any word on what the House Dems are up to? They should be commenting on this bill non-stop.

    20
  21. For once I do beleive that the D’s in the house are right to leave this as an internal firing circle for the r’s.
They say to much they would just draw attention away from the r’s ineptitude.
The r’s said they wanted to pass this exclusively with r input and votes. So be it.
The r’s are lighting themselves on fire let them burn.
Keep pointing out the flaws and working the grass roots with Ellison.
Oh thats right the grassroots are losers in the d’s org.
Oh well like a broken analog clock they are right twice a day ( or term)

    21
  22. Meant to add that watching this mud wrestleing between the whack job tea baggers caucaus with koch money versus ( in this corner) comrade drumpf and little puties rubles is funny.

Granted in the present overall circumstances it is a dark humor but we are in dark times so take what I can get.

    22
  23. Sandridge says:

Things may be going nuclear sooner than expected. Healthcare and all those other issues may go on the back burner soon.

The illegitimate SOBOTUS and half his inner regime may be guilty of more treason, corruption, and conniving than any ‘leaders’ in history.

The Putin Russian connections, collusion, and covert corrupt deals may be far more extensive than thought before according to columnist and reporter Seth Abrahamson and team.
I hope the people digging this stuff out of Trump’s cesspool stay safe, this intrigue is operating at levels never before seen in the US. We have seen many times over what happens to people who tangle with Vlad Putin: they turn up dead.

    This could rip America apart.
If enough honorable people, in and out of government, do the right thing perhaps these treasonous bastards can be deposed with a minimum of strife. Does treason still merit a firing squad? They’ll need a lottery to sort out the volunteers.
Meanwhile, ‘watch Donnei’s drive’ this weekend down at Mar-A-Pendejo (or wherever he’s hiding).

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/3/23/1646686/-RussiaGate-blows-WIDE-OPEN-in-Abrahamson-report-High-crimes-and-misdemeanors-by-Trump-Sessions

“Trump, Sessions, Manafort, Kushner all directly involved in selling US foreign policy to Russia for 0.5% of Russian oil giant Rosneft.
In a stunning tweetstorm this evening, columnist and reporter Seth Abrahamson (Huffington Post, Dallas Morning News, Seattle Times, Washington Post) laid out all the details on the Russia-Trump connection. And folks, this is impeachment territory, and imprisonment territory, for the highest officials in the United States.”

  24. Tilphousia says:

Vlad the impailer Putin doesn’t have to get rid of cockwomble trump. All he has to do is tell Alfa Bank to cut off all funds to trump businesses and call in all debt. And when trump is no longer of use to him, I predict that will happen. Wonder what all the trump spawn will do when the money is cut off. A fitting end to treason, corruption and just evil on a scale not seen since Hitler.
Now the scumbag rethuglicans say prenatal care needs to be removed from their bill. Those men ? are murders in waiting! Since they hate women so much, let’s put them all in a monastery with 9th century conveniences. No medical care, no electricity, plumbing or internet. Let those evil creatures grow their food, weave cloth and haul water from a well. And die early so they can spend eternity in Tartarus’ river of boiling blood.

    24
  25. It is now Friday and the day is definitely waning. Trump told Ryan to pull the bill rather than face the indignity of seeing Trumpcare get voted down. That still won’t solve the problem: the R’s are knotted up into little gangs of venomous critters spitting at each other. Unity? Really? That’s not how Webster defines it!
