If Only He Could Use Google Instead of Twitter …

June 22, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Oh y’all, at the rally last night, Trump said that legal immigrants who enter the United States should not be eligible for welfare benefits for five years.

Sounds like a good deal to me, because BILL CLINTON PASSED THAT LAW IN 2006.  (Sorry for hollering but my forehead hurts from banging it on the desk every damn day.)

Yeah, that’s been the law since 1996.

“The time has come for new immigration rules which say that those seeking admission into our country must be able to support themselves financially and should not use welfare for a period of at least five years,” Trump told a crowd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the U.S. Cellular Center.

The president said his administration would be “putting in legislation to that effect very shortly.”

So, is he going to claim that he time-traveled back to 1996?

I can’t take it.

  1. He can Trumpet all he wants. Getting such a bill in either part of Congress is a no go as it already exists. But that kind of existentialism he just cannot grasp.

  2. I wish Trump would travel back to 1996. And like the movie Groundhog Day, get stuck in one day there.

Too bad he’s no Bill Murray. Bill Murry seems to do whatever he wants, says whatever he likes, crashes parties, photo-bombs weddings, and people love him for it. Guess it’s all in the delivery.

My prescription for JJ’s headaches…a padded helmet, some aspirin and rest in a dark, quiet room with no TV, no Internet, no Trump, no Republicans. Repeat once a week for the next four years. Wine daily in moderation. Regular visits with small children and fluffy pets.

We can’t have you checking out on us so soon into this nightmare of a presidency!

And his followers, who are short of both memory and Google-fu, will give Trump credit for what has been law since Bill Clinton was in office. I’d like to see Trump try to submit it to Congress, though.

    Um. . .JJ. . .that’s 1996, not 2006. Bill left office in 2001.

  5. Trump and the Wingnuts rationale, “Such a fantastic plan, see MY plan is already working! Immigrants who enter the United States will not be eligible for welfare benefits for five years. I’m so smart”

Well, Nunes is claiming that this Congress and this White House have passed more legislation than any previous government by this point in its administration — all evidence to the contrary.

So now they’ll claim that they just passed this law and add it to the list they’re crowing about. Clinton? Clinton who?

This is a COVFEFE. It’s just an attempt to take the media attention away from the health care disaster. He knows the law is already on the books.

Wonder which one of cockwomble’s handlers he will blame for that lie. Hmm. Wonder if the handlers use a rotating system. If it’s Monday, must be Jared’s fault. If this were not so f***ing serious (sorry Momma) it would almost be humorous. Saw a list of 100 most egregous trump lies. He has at least 45 pants on fire lies from Polifact.

  9. Minor correction. In all caps you say Bill Clinton passed the law in 2006. GW Bush was President then. I think you mean 1996.

You are right. I caught that in two other places in the post but missed the big one! I just have to stop drinking at breakfast.
