Oh y’all, San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro is going to give the Keynote address at the Democratic National Convention.

He’s 37 years old and will prove that Texas is not filled with crazy people.  He’s hot stuff.

  1. This may be the only election in history in which one party’s keynote speaker advocates for the deportation of the other party’s keynote speaker.

  2. Exciting! I can’t wait.

  3. Sandy Havens says:

    Be still, my heart!

  4. This should help clean up some opinions about Texans.

  5. Brilliant selection. Can’t wait.

  6. Mz Patti says:

    Bravo! Estamos unidos!

  7. Can’t wait to hear him speak!

  8. Since I live surrounded by San Antonio, I can tell you I think he is doing a great job as mayor. He’s young, good-looking, smart as they come, and should give a great speech. San Antonio is the largest city with a AAA credit rating, which speaks well for Mayor Castro and the former Democratic mayor.

  9. WOW! Affirmation of faith…..and the legendary ‘Butter Cow” here prior to the Iowa State Fair just melted!

  10. I am so thrilled about this I can hardly contain myself. Lordy, what a convention THIS is gonna be!!!!! Gonna record every second of it.

Gee, I hate to be so shallow, but…. dang! What a cutie! **ahem, ahem** I mean, ummm, well, uhh where was I…? Dang! What–

    oh never mind

  12. Did you see Rachel Maddow tonight? Praise for Mayor Castro, saying there are those who say he could be the first Hispanic president. Also noted a Republican (don’t know who!) predicting that if Cruz won today (he evidently did) that Texas will be purple in 4 years. I’m about to believe it; JJ and Bubba will lead us all!
BTW, he is kinda cute. And he has laughing eyes. A good sign of a pure soul.

He spoke at the Texas Democratic Convention and his identical twin brother introduced him. Wouldn’t it be great to have a Texas Democratic Governor who became President to offset the Dubya curse. But I am determined to have a woman President in 2016.

He and his brother Joaquin are both terrific!
