I Couldn’t Make This Up. I’m Not That Clever.

I love George Bush.

He’s the turtle that keeps on snapping.

Former President George W. Bush will deliver a keynote address at the Cayman Alternative Investment Summit in early November. Sir Richard Branson, the British billionaire entrepreneur, will also deliver a keynote address.

That is way cool.

Five days before the election, he’s going to visit Mitt Romney’s money.   And if the airplane gets delayed coming home, Mitt Romney’s entire base will stuck in the Caymens.

Barack Obama is the luckiest man in the world.

Thanks to Ellen and Bubba for the heads up.

  1. LOVED YOUR COMMENTARY must I stole it for my FB page but gave you credit for it

  2. Since George and Sir Richard both are honored speakers, perhaps, on the side, they will engage in a passionate conversation about global warming.

  3. oops must “admit” I stole it

  4. Wow…. that’s a great time for Al Queda to strike the Cayman Islands! You heard it here first….

  5. Fly Virgin George, fly Virgin.

  6. Bill Clinton was booked.

  7. “World’s leading domicile for investment funds.” Here’s one definition of domicile;
2.somebody’s place of residence: somebody’s true, fixed, and legally recognized place of residence, especially in cases of prolonged absence that require them to prove a continuing and significant connection with the place
Which only leads to one question, why does Mitt Romney’s money not live in, and love America?

  8. Do you suppose, JJ, that the Cayman Islands is the only country outside the US that Bush can actually go to? I mean, every place else has a notice out that they will arrest him on human rights violations if he sets foot in their countries. Places like Switzerland, among many, many others.

I just love, love, love that this will take place BEFORE the election. That oughta get Mittens a coupla more votes.

Jet Blue would be a nice alternative to Virgin…i wonder if TE windows open?

  10. Seems like a good place to set up one o’ them FEMA camps we’ve been hearing so much about.

  11. Do you realize that W’s approval ratings are actually higher than Romney’s now? If I were Mittens, I would not even show up to the debates to be further humiliated. It’s going to be a hoot. I have to make sure I am adequately equiped with popcorn and booze.

Jon Stewart made a comment last week that closely mirrored what I have been thinking – that Mittens appears to be getting dumber in the things he says, as he goes along. He was not that horrible at the primary debates, but lately his sentences sound like Palin’s – just a word salad that makes no sense.

  12. JJ, can you get a Press Pass to cover this gig?

  13. The good news for George is that he has found a country he can visit without having to be concerned that he will be arrested for war crimes. How appropriate that it is the same place that Mittens stashes his cash!

  14. I think they just want “W: out of the country so he can’t repeat his kiss-of-death endorsement right before the election.

See, I knew W would make an appearence on behalf of Mitt sooner or later. He skipped the RNC in Florida to go with his base to the Caymans.

    Hope the servers have cameras.
