How Low Can You Go?

February 10, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

News.

President Obama’s $4.1 trillion budget for the government was formally submitted to Congress today, however, in an unprecedented move, it will not receive so much as a formal hearing from the Republican controlled House and Senate budget committees.

You know, Congressboys, you can ignore him all you want to and even pretend he’s not there but he’s real and he’s not going away until after November.

And the next time the President comes to congress, they are going to have Paul Ryan stick out his foot and trip him, to be followed by gales of giggling from the Republican side of the House.

Four words: Grow. The. Hell. Up.

No, wait, five words: Grow. The. Hell. Up. Jerk.

President Obama is in office until January when the new president takes the oath of office.

  3. Marcia in CO says:

However, the President is probably wishing he was in some remote cove in Hawai’i with Michelle and the girls rather then being where he is until January 2017!

I can’t imagine he’ll be unhappy about leaving and leaving the BS behind, for the most part!!

  4. The GOP can’t waste time on hearings for the President’s budget proposal.
They have more important hearings to hold. Such as Benghazi, E-mail, white water and Vince Foster to name a few. These are their priorities, along with implementation of the Koch Bro’s agenda. They got to keep the scare up.

  5. Polite Kool Marxist says:

That’s it, President Obama. Time for you to invite Lyin’ Ryan over to your house for a little one on one basketball. A well placed elbow upside his head may cure what ails him.

The governmental process in DC has definitely declined, rapidly, to the grade school level. The actions of these elected officials is simply unbelievable! They are not earning their keep, so they need to be “unelected” next round. We need people who run to actually do the work of government, which is to govern, not to obstruct. This is so frustrating.

  7. Even grade school level kids sometimes earn gold stars. Our current Congress doesn’t.

They don’t do their job and they’re really proud of that.

    7
  8. Everyone of those jackwagons need to be targeted by the electorate and given the boot. We shouldn’t be paying for a legislature which is unwilling to do their job.

  9. Hey, they swore an oath on the Constitution and is some cases on the Bible. they have broken that oath. From where I sit, thats grounds for a charge of treason.

    9
  10. Well, half of them are out running for his job….

“Hill observers say any talk of a government shutdown is premature right now but that the snub of the president’s budget could be the opening shot in a long contentious fight over how to fund the government ahead of the presidential election in November.”

Oh, PLEASE do another of your monumental ****-ups right before the election!

  11. Just one more chance for the RKlan to show their disrespect for a man who has more class in his little toe than all their fat a$$es. Democrats in the House and Senate should be ranting and raving about this. There has to be a consequence for this kind of racist behavior. That’s just what it is rooted in: racism.

  12. Tilphousia says:

Maggie hit the nail on the head. But I’d like to add this, as TRUS Ted just loves to beat children perhaps he’d like to volunteer to beat the congressional brats. Then we can try them all for violating their oaths is office.

  13. Just listened in live via WashPost on Obama’s address to the Illinois general assembly. He’s saying that we need to reduce the impact of money in elections, eliminate gerrymandering in all states, and make it easier to vote. And also have a “modicum of civility.” He’ll never get anywhere with crazy ideas like those.

    13
  14. Aggieland Liz says:

Yeah, Mr Obama is a lot of things, but one thing he is *NOT* is a quitter. Also, he is playing three dimensional chess while the House Reps and “chairmen” trade fart jokes. He not only has more class than those navel gazing clowns, he’s got more BRAINS! I’ll bet he makes them look no-how a few more times between now and January 20, 2017.

    14
  15. Linda Phipps says:

I was surprised to learn that congress is not mandated to consider the president’s annual budget. The “tradition” was started in 1921. Until then, requests from various, random agencies and organizations (and I am sure, special interests) were entertained by the worthies on the hill. Now what could go wrong here?

  16. JAKvirginia says:

JJ? You asked, How Low Can You (They) Go? Have you not been watching the Republican campaign at all? I hope your question was purely rhetorical because nothing they do surprises me anymore.

  17. Re: Congress’ disrespect of the POTUS by not considering his budget requests:

At some point the country’s adult population must stand up and take the reins of our government back from the hands of the recalcitrant 2 year olds that presently hold it. And I hope that is very soon.

    17
  18. or ‘How sick is this?’
Republicans voluntarily join and get a healthy check from the Guberment the say they hate. Then purposely destroy the Government and campaign on broken Government they personally broke. And blame it all on the Democrats.

  19. Marge Wood says:

    Yep.

  20. I had a dream Ya’ll!
I dreamt that Sen Sanders rode a wave of youth into the White House, with all those youth he brought out voting all these Rethug Chillin out of their cushy Hill jobs, and on election night, What with the overwhelming results coming in, That Windbag Scalia up and strokes out, making Pres Sanders first job appointing a new SCJ and yes, with a fully democratic Congress, he appoints HRC, thereby eliminating the rest of the Rethugs across the country when they en mass experience Simultaneous Combustion…..“Dreams, if they’re any good, are always a little bit crazy. ”
