Hostile Work Environment

September 19, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

So leaks from the White House say that paranoia has been added to the crazy stew.

“The uncertainty has grown to the point that White House officials privately express fear that colleagues may be wearing a wire to surreptitiously record conversations for Mr. Mueller.”

The other fun game is trying to remember everything you ever said to Paul Manafort in a phone conversation ever in your whole damn life.

There’s something bothering me.  I have heard on the teevee that we should all feel sorry for the low level people in the White House who now have to go out and hire lawyers. Uh, not this gal.  They chose to work in the White House, even though they knew the president was crazy, liable to sexually assault them, racist, and a damn pig. If you’re willing to trade your soul for “White House” on your resume, you need more than a lawyer. You need a mental health professional.  And maybe a preacher.

I do not feel sorry for any of them.

  1. I saw that in the WaPo myself. Note to self: never read the Wa Po while trying to eat or drink. It can only lead to maniacal laughter and a mess!

  2. Free legal advice to all the low hanging fruit in this mess – don’t lie. And, for dog’s sake don’t pick up the proverbial shovel to dig yourself in deeper.

  3. I agree 100%. If you make a deal with the devil you should expect to get burned. It should really be interesting to see how many contradictions and how much confusion this will cause. I am sure there’s a high level of panic there too.

  4. Those not investigated by Mr Muller or anyone else will have no repercussions. This Trump mess will one day be behind us. Sean Spicer’s appearance on the Emmys ceremonies demonstrate there will be no consequences for being part of the Trump government syndicate.

  5. Me either.
They are certainly not the best and the brightest that you would hope would be employed at the White House.

Sympathy? You want sympathy, Blanche? You can find it right in the dictionary. It’s after shit and suicide!

Personally, my heart goes out to the long-serving WH staff — butlers, maids, kitchen people, etc. What must they be experiencing there after the Obamas?

  7. So, does the Manafort wiretap existence add to possible obstruction of justice violations?

And as for the White House staff, I imagine some hearty laughs on their part, but they are the most professional of anyone in the structure.

There are few things are simply true as your last 3 sentences.

Love your last big paragraph: sums it up perfectly for me!

We can only guess what the household staff thinks. Is Melania a good person to work with or does she treat staff with distain? She and the staff may do well if she’s nice and they feel sorry for her. Behind closed doors they may be her source of support. I don’t think we have any idea what Melania is really like. In public sje plays a part. It kust be grim living with that man.

See “Lyin’ Eyes”, the Eagles (Don Henley and Glenn Frey.)

“City girls just seem to find out early
How to open doors with just a smile
    A rich old man
And she won’t have to worry
She’ll dress up all in lace and go in style

Late at night a big old house gets lonely
I guess every form of refuge has its price
And it breaks her heart to think her love is
Only given to a man with hands as cold as ice”

“She gets up and pours herself a strong one
And stares out at the stars up in the sky
Another night, it’s gonna be a long one
She draws the shade and hangs her head to cry”

“And your smile is a thin disguise”

  13. Melania went into this with eye$ wide open. No sympathy for her.
That “family” is rotten to the core.

  14. After living with him for years, Melania knew exactly what she was getting into. She was well in her 30’s when they married. I can’t feel sorry for her.
