Holy Moly! Stand Back! Romney’s Flopping Again.

October 31, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

He’s starting to look like a fish outta water, flopping around pitifully on the pier trying to grab onto something with no hands.

Romney now like FEMA.  Yes, siree, remember when he said that we should send FEMA money to the states or privatize it?  Well, that’s good because he doesn’t.

“I believe that FEMA plays a key role in working with states and localities to prepare for and respond to natural disasters,” Romney said in a statement supplied by his campaign Wednesday. “As president, I will ensure FEMA has the funding it needs to fulfill its mission … yada, yada, yada.

Romnesia!  Get some!

  1. Romney knows perfectly well that it’s Congress who decides the budget–so he can promise that, and act all holy about it, knowing that a GOP Congress will dump FEMA in a heartbeat (along with, let’s see, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and of course NASA–including the weather satellites we’re about to lose because they’re aging out and oddly enough no private company has stepped in to replace them…)

  2. Well Christie telling him to take a hike for a photo op and then repeatedly praising the President has to sting. I love it. This latest flop just gets a ‘yeah right’ from the people around here.

  3. Too bad the election doesn’t last another 2 or 3 months. By the end of that time Romney will offer us free health care for everyone, a 20% increase in Social Security payments to seniors, and let’s not forget a chicken in every pot.

  4. Or Nancy Pelosi’s take on Romney’s lies: “Mitthology.”

  5. Yeah, right. He may have Romnesia, but he’s so out of touch that he never realizes there could be “film at 11:00.” Flippin’ and floppin’ AGAIN.

“As president, I will ensure FEMA has the funding it needs to fulfill its mission…….which is to enrich my corporate friends after I privatize it.”

  8. The thing I simply do not understand about the RePig Obstructionists is their absolute CLUELESSNESS as to video tape. Nary a single one seem to think that every single thing they have said is on tape and somebody has a copy and will put it on the Intertubes – being a Twit person during this election, the RePigs REALLY do not understand how Twitter works – they simply do not understand this World Wide Web thingy – guess none of them have ever taken the time to look at a spider web and compare that to understanding the http://www.com of today’s world.

  9. So, anyone catch Romney actually saying this…all I’m seeing is “his campaign” issued a statement.

I’m not sure I count this as a real flip-flop until Romney makes the statement himself.

But goodness gracious…he really flops on his face when in a crisis, doesn’t he? He’s looking bad on dealing with Sandy, he was an idiot on responding to the attack in Libya, even his overseas tour flopped. He just is so out of it!

It is interesting to ponder the question of whether our 4th estate would allow a President Romney to lie with the same impunity as a candidate Romney. I hope we do not ever have to find out.

  11. @Don A….. yesterday morning was one of those mornings I was driving…. and listening to Amy Goodman on my car radio. She was interviewing folks in Illinois, (where it was freezing cold) who used to work (they are all losing their jobs) at the Sanesta (?) sp. Plant that Bain Capitol bought out, is closing down, and packing up, and shipping……..literally intact….. to China….

Crickets in the Mainstream Media on this story.

  12. @Miemaw – Other than MSNBC and Democracy Now, I haven’t heard anything about it.

  13. If Romney were in charge he would make FEMA a profit center. And Ryan would keep the books. It’s really sad that we can’t harness Romney’s flip-flops–we’d have the first true perpetual motion machine.

You know, I can understand how someone may prefer a different President than President Obama. I see that people have a difference of opinion. But what I really, really, cannot understand is how you are in favor of Romney. I have myself have cast votes against someone, not really in favor of the other guy. I get that. But who are these people who think Romney is qualified to be President? Who knows where he stands on anything? Who doesn’t feel like he has lied to them? How does anyone attend a rally for him and yell and cheer? How does anyone (besides wealthy people) give him money? I just don’t understand.
