He’s In The Jailhouse Now

February 11, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, old Cliven Bundy wasn’t such a prissy panted gun totin’ sumbitch when he got off the airplane in Portland, Oregon.

Cliven Bundy, the Nevada rancher whose sons seized an Eastern Oregon wildlife refuge last month, is being held in Multnomah County Jail after arriving at Portland International Airport tonight.

The FBI detained Bundy, 74, and took him to the jail on a U.S. marshal’s hold, according to the Multnomah County Jail’s booking website. He was booked at 10:54 pm.

Charges have not yet been announced. The Oregonian’s Les Zaitz reports on Twitter that Bundy was arrested “on federal charges for the 2014 standoff in Nevada with federal agents.”

Why am I never around to do a standing ovation when these jerks put their tails between their legs and mosey on home?

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Be social and share!

It takes a special kind of stupid to assume the Federal government is going to forget that crimes were committed. And for someone who bases his entire life image on carrying a gun, he should have realized that airlines won’t let you carry one on a plane. Old Cliven should be kept behind bars — for his own protection.

  2. Now that’s a booking photo I’m gonna keep. May even frame it. Thanks Multnomah County jail website!

I was fervently praying he’d be arrested upon arrival. God does answer prayers.

  6. I totally agree with the Bundys that they should occupy federal properties for a very, very long time.

We simply disagree about which properties. As for how long, 5 to 10 sounds about right.

    6
  7. Finally,

This deadbeat will have to pay US for the share of OUR resources he’s been stealing.

Why, oh why can’t these people understand that the properties of the Federal Govt. are collectively owned by it’s citizens?

And sell his farm t the courthouse door for the grazing fees.

  9. Well said, Lynn. It’s about time the nutjobs pay the price for their outrageous flouting of federal law. Add to the sentences mucho dinero in fines and maybe the taxpayers can recoup some of the money spent to corral them.

  10. Paul Harris says:

Cliven asked the judge at his arraignment for a court-appointed attorney. ‘Cause the ebil gubmint he doesn’t believe in should defend him as well as feed his livestock.

    10
  11. About damn time. Court-appointed attorney, my ass. He owes the taxpayers over a million dollars in unpaid grazing fees so he should be rolling in cash. If he squandered it, let him rot in prison for a few years and contemplate the error of his ways.

  12. “After repeatedly threatening to shoot himself, complaining that he couldn’t get marijuana, and ranting about UFOs, drone strikes in Pakistan, leaking nuclear plants and the government “chemically mutating people,” the last occupier, David Fry, 27, lit a cigarette, shouted “Hallelujah” and walked out of his barricaded encampment into FBI custody.”

OK. Now let’s total up the bill for all their mooching, damages and time spent by local, state & federal law enforcement. Send the bill to Charles and David Koch who are the sponsors of these half witted moochers. Pay up, boys. We taxpayers are tired of footing the bill for your half-baked John Birch Society seditious silliness.

Cliven and the Bundy Brats want lawyers? Let them ask the Koch brothers for their pocket money.

  14. Marcia in CO says:

The clincher for me: Franklin Graham was supposedly helping with these buttheads negotiations! He was THERE … holy crappola.
I suspect poor ole Billy is too feeble to realize what his damned kid is doing … or is ole Billy dead? Geez … I can’t remember if he’s alive or dead or only in between!

I agree with PKM … let the Koch Bros fork over whatever money these nitwits need to cover their huuuuuuge debt!

    14
  15. WA Skeptic says:

The Bundys and their ilk are the wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Koch Bros. As such, their legal expenses are a deduction for the Koch Bros.

    Pay up, guys.

    15
  16. Franklin Graham and a porn star teamed up. You have to wonder I’d this was the first time or a continuation.

    “…the last occupier, David Fry, 27, — lit a cigarette –…”

Hell, that’s enough for me, all his other traitorous bullsh*t pales in comparison. Get a rope, I got some trees…

    17
  18. According to USA Today, Fry also mentioned wanting to “have another cookie and a cigarette” before surrendering himself to the FBI. I read at Little Green Footballs that some are saying he has a mental illness and has been off his meds for some time. If this is true, all of those who were at Malheur should be ashamed of themselves for using him to serve their own agenda. If he does have a documented mental illness, someone in the group should have realized it and taken him to the nearest doctor while they were making those trips to Walmart. H*ll, they could have taken him to a doc at Walmart since many of them now have clinics.

    18
  19. Not only in a Federal facility, but, a gated community no less.

    19
  20. Actually if the government is the government “chemically mutating people” that would explain a lot about the occupiers.

  21. Mark Schlemmer says:

In Portland a key point that the local RWNJ radio station – one so awful that your very own prize racist Michael Berry is on –
highlights is the participation of the creepy Nevada woman pol.
Michelle Fiore. Wasn’t she the woman who posed her kids for a Christmas card holding guns?? Anyway, she is running for higher office now so this was like a God send incident for her.
Except for one little point, that is. More rational folks have connected the dots and pointed out that SHE was one of the early instigators and supporters of Hee Haw Queda. JJ – Please do a story on her and reshow that card. She is like the second coming of Michelle Bachmann or Michelle Malkin. What they all have in common, besides being bat-guano crazy, is that you can use their names to spell Hell!

    Oregon took care of business.

Hubris, and lack of common sense,…. finally caught up with Daddy Bundy. He got away once, with poking his finger in the government’s eye…. and thought he was untouchable.

    Wrong!

    25
  26. As much as I was frustrated with the lack of response to the armed terrorists in Nevada the FBI really knows how to play the long game. The ‘Give ‘Em Enough Rope’ trick of letting them wrap themselves in 10 spools of 2 inch wet manila is pure genius. I can hardly wait to see how the court-appointed attorney deals with the Rocky Mountain pile of evidence Cliven’s crew delivered on a lead platter over the past two years.

Waiting to see Cliven’s cows listed on bid4assets.com

    26
  27. e platypus onion says:

May the Feds confiscate their beef off their range to feed Bundy and other federal prisoners in their fed prison. Save taxpayers some money.

    27
  28. David Peden says:

The news today is interesting. Me. Bundy wants a free government-appointed attorney. The judge refused and required him to file a financial affidavit. Why would he expect an attorney paid foe by a country he says is illegitimate? Wouldn’t he prefer a unicorn?

    28
  29. David, yup a unicorn. One covered in damn glitter!

    29
  30. Elizabeth Moon says:

Bundy’s cows should be sold to pay his fines. Feed Bundy and his kind of prisoners? Heck no.

JJ, I don’t want Bundy to have the chance to put his tail between his legs and go home. I want him to be firmly incarcerated and forced to write “Theft doesn’t pay” 1000 times a day on a chalkboard.

The problem with the long game, though, is that it does not have the same effect on malefactors as the immediate smackdown. People learn best from immediate responses to their behavior. Both the Attaboys and the Smackdowns work best if applied immediately (or almost so) after the behavior being approved or disapproved. That’s true for any kind of behavior modification (e.g. “learning”) you want to accomplish.
