Here’s How You Know

Okay, here’s how you know that the Republican congressional candidate in Pennsylvania is gonna lose to the Democrat.

“The White House says that, despite the president’s tweet, he is not going to Pennsylvania Thursday to campaign for a congressional candidate there,” the AP reports.

“Now press secretary Sarah Sanders says the purpose of the visit is actually to promote Trump’s agenda, especially the Republican tax overhaul.”

This is also how you know that somebody leaked Trump the answers to the cognitive test at his physical.

This is the seat where pro-life congressman Tim Murphy urged his mistress to have an abortion.  He stepped down and now there’s a special election.  The Republicans are going all-out to win the seat and the Democrat in the race is only getting marginal support from outside groups like Daily Kos and End Citizens United.

I wonder when Trump is going to get tired of being corrected.

Just read his list of the “Fake news awards”. They catagories are so trivial, they aren’t worth mentioning. Polifact did award trump the Lies of the Year for 2017.

Campaigning by proxy like he did for the loser in Alabama. That works.

  4. Considering the actions of the hacks on the thuglican supreme court today in protecting thuglican majority in N. Carolina all that the R has to do is go Boo and they will declare anything that allows the D to win illegal and anything the R does as legal.
So much for the judiciary for the next 20 years or more unless incoming ( hopefully) D majority grows a spine and passes a omnibus impeachment on first day of session to remove all drumpf appointees up to and including gorsuch and require retrials and/or hearin that any of them particiapiated in.
All sentences and judgements to be filed in round file restart system.
Alas I fear the d’s are to gutless and to concerned about their big dollar donors to actually act to protect their constituents.

  5. @K

from what I read, only Sotomayor and RBG dissented.

  6. My reading is that the “vote” count was not published but that the Notorius RBG and Sotomayer published dissents.
My understanding is that it takes only 5 votes to obstruct justice and strip voting rights from people in this situation.
The article I read suggested that the count was “probably” 5-4

  7. “The conservative-majority court granted a bid by Republican legislators in North Carolina to suspend the Jan. 9 order by a federal court panel…” Rueters https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-election/supreme-court-blocks-redrawing-of-north-carolina-congressional-maps-idUSKBN1F73C1?

But I fear that, in the opinion of other readers, might be to much of a conspiracy site and they don’t want anyone to waste their time reading such tripe.

K, that would require that all justices are literate and Clarence Thomas is questionable in that dept.
