Here’s How This Is Going To Work

November 25, 2015 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

OI am going away for a long weekend to a place with no cell reception and no wifi.  I will be with the people I love the most and we will do fun stuff.  We will probably go into town once a day to pick up email and check to make sure everything is okay.

Da Chipster has agree to keep the shop open, which is a treat for everyone.  Before I leave, I will program a Do It Yourself Blog Post every day if case DaChipster gets a better offer.  Feel free to say anything you want to but keep it clean.

I’ve also scheduled a few things that will post at pre-determined times to entertain you.

I will be back next week sometime, rested and belching.

And don’t break into my house.  Marsha the retired parole officer will be staying here, with a big gun and a vicious dog named Precious.  They both have handled worse guys than you.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Be social and share!

Marge Wood, if only I had been “speaking for myself.” Looks like Jane decided to post a warning to me. Not only must I worry about Mama, Jane packs a pretty steady wallop of soap and she’s not shy about enlisting my mama to support her censorship, should I allow my fingers to type faster than my good sense. I am so out numbered …..

  16. Thanks, Rhea. Everyone, enjoy your holiday, whether you’re with family, friends, or on your own.

I’m having a vegan restaurant lunch with a good friend. I’m also doing some cooking: chestnut stuffed portobellos, mashed potatoes with vegan gluten-free maitake onion gravy, Brussels sprouts right from the stalk, cranberry-orange relish. I already made the roasted butternut squash soup. I’m not making dessert; I bought pistachio salted caramel sorbet. I’m glad I don’t have to look at sad dead turkey.

    16
  17. Happy Thanksgiving to all! A safe trip to everybody travelling!

    17
  18. JAKvirginia says:

Happy Turkey Day to everyone here.

And Susan? I’ll wish you the same only if you promise to ignore the political crazy while you’re gone. No CNN. No blogs. Nothing. The crazy will do just fine without you. And you can certainly do without the crazy. My best to Bubba and the whole family. Hugs.

    18
  19. @Zyxomma, dang, can I come to your place? Not sure about Brussels sprouts, but the rest of it sounds delicious! My husband’s going to a British science fiction convention in Chicago, as usual, and I have casting clients, so I’ll probably just eat something from the freezer. (We’ll have a tofurkey with cranberry sauce and veggies later.)

    19
  20. @Zyomma, it sound delicious and I love Brussels sprouts! Rhea, there are some great recipes out using shredded Brussels sprouts. They’re “big” in the food world these days.

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone.

    20
  21. Thank you, autocorrect. That was supposed to say “cat sitting” clients. It will *not* let me type that as one word.

    21
  22. The wine biz continues apace until late afternoon. I am happy though that the WMDBS staff gets time off &let’s the JV take over (jus kidding daChipster) Especially weird times these days but still much to be thankful for. Peaceful holiday to you all.

    22
  23. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Yeah, but….Lady Liberty was designed as a Nuslin Wonam-just ask Smithsonian. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/261328-smithsonian-statue-of-liberty-was-originally-a-muslim-woman

We can be thankful wingnuts heads will ‘splode over this.

No cell or WiFi coverage? The only place I know where that happens is the National Intellectual Dead Zone in eastern West Virginia. Are there others? Maybe eastern Texas, Louie Gohmert country?

    25
  26. Brussels sprouts? Really? Sorry, but why would anyone want to eat a food that smells like feet! Now, sweet potato pie! Gotta try it! Really where its at! Has more muscle than plain old pumpkin pie!

    26
  27. I know that JJ and Bubba are having a good time, and hope you all are having as good a holiday as we did at our home. Happy Thanksgiving!
