  1. Evening JJ.
I know very few, if any, of the patrons of this joint are technically represented by you at the convention.
But speaking for myself, in my heart you represent us all.
    Nobody could do it better.
I’m pretty much an agnostic, but I do like to think that there’s an afterlife. And if so, I guarandamnttee she’s elbowing somebody in their ethereal ribs, pointing and saying “That’s my girl!”

  2. Forgive my poor editing skills.
That’s obviously Momma doing the ethereal nudging.

  3. Nice to have you back, JJ! El Jefe did a bang-up job while you were out, and I look forward to more from him, but it’s nice to see the smile in your posts, too.

Beto O’Rourke was on MSNBC Thursday night. Smart, articulate, engaging. He feels like a winner to me.

    GO BLUE, TEXAS!!

Did anybody hear about this guy? https://www.rawstory.com/2018/06/texas-republican-sneaks-democratic-state-convention-brandishes-handgun-confronted/

Looking at the photo, I’d say he’s maybe 13? At least we know his mama dresses him.

  9. Our daughter Sophia is one of Kirk Watson Campaign Academy fellows. She had a great time at the convention. She sent me pics with Beto, Kim Olson, MJ Heger and Julian Castro. She is only 22 and this experience may have changed her life — for the better. She is energized for the fight — for the long term. Thanks for all you do to engage everyone with this struggle.

Be sure all those good Texas Dems know there’s an army of postcard writers ready to help.

  11. This would do my heart more good if TX actually voted. How do we get out the vote?
