  1. Yeah, he’s made it quite a week. Like a series of colonoscopies. That kind of week. (If it were him, they’re be dredging for his head.)

  2. 1smartcanerican says:

Looks like week two will be even worse!

Some thought-provoking and scary ideas in this post:
    – very apocalyptic!

Looks like bannon is trump’s Rasputin.

Nice one, but my favorite line for the day comes from one of the other great small-focus bloggers out there, DESERT BEACON.

We cannot be the land of the free unless we are the home of the brave.

(btw, tried this before, but can some of you add your own group of ‘favorite small bloggers’? Inuddawoids what virtual magazines are on the virtual tables for us to read whilst we await our pedicures?)

My own list includes JJ’s, of course, but also:
and — my favorite to comment on —

Any major additions? — I didn’t include national blogs like
    MADDOW BLOG (Steve Benen)
    HATEWATCH (the SPLC) or
I can only hope these are on your radar daily — avoid the troll-filled comments on MMfA.)

  4. Now that is a good idea. Much better than mine of making a dozen or so just to be ready at a moment’s notice. Might have to cover it with a big sheet of plastic wrap to protect from rain/snow/sleet, but oh, the possibilities.

Whatever Donnie was up to last week, and wherever he is heading this week, this is a good all purpose sign until he is either impeached or committed to a mental institution:

  6. I’m liking the new description of Trump’s administration (via Paul Krugman), “Malevolence tempered by incompetence”. I’m strongly tempted to add “only”: “Malevolence tempered only by incompetence”.

It has certainly pleased me to see just how incompetent they are, given their apparent agenda.

  7. JAKvirginia says:

Just finished reading all of today’s posts here. The crazy is building to epic proportions with Dat Guy.

I now believe I am in a loop-tape episode of The Twilight Zone.

  8. In case y’all ain’t heard, the sumbitch is spreadin’ around that all those folks detained in airports here and around the world for no reason…weeeel…it seems that it was all the fault of Delta Air Lines! Yeah, you read that right! Delta did it!

Love it, eyesoars: It’s malevolence tempered only by incompetence. Perfect!

  9. Why aren’t the guards who defied the judges’ orders being prosecuted?

  10. 1 of a 1000 opinions out there: don’t underestimate this guy. His $ allows him a very large degree of latitude which permits him to play mostly by his rules. Unpredictable even by ordinary repub below-the-belt rules. As long as his base don’t think they’ve been had, the other repub pols will be in fear of him. Until he crosses a line that the “ordinary” repubs pols and his base start to figure out they’ve been had.
What’s the thinking out there on letting him have more opportunity to hang himself vs the progressives/dem tilting at every repub windmill? What’s the strategic dem plan by and with whom?
Seems like we are going to have pain regardless; so, what’s the analysis for short term vs long term; ie, several months or mid-term in 2018?

  11. Tilphousia says:

Wow. What a mess. And it is backfiring big time. Over 1 million people in England have signed a petition to not admit trump when he visits their PM. Hope they don’t allow him to land.

  12. Even if May does allow him to land, he won’t be protected from seeing protesters like his Brownshirts do here. And there will be massive protests.

I wonder how it feels to be the most thoroughly despicable and despised person on the planet? Oh Toddler Scum?
