  1. Wow! This is some of the best news I’ve heard today, and what pleases me even more is that a republican judge refused to dismiss the case.

On the count of three can we get a collective AWWWWWWWRRRIIIIIIIGHT?

  3. Why doesn’t the GOP just save time and get their candidates from prison?

  4. Larry from Colorado says:

    YES!

  5. Ricky might just want to learn and start doing burpees, 1 to 20 then 20 to 1. Guarantee you his pod mates are. Right now as we speak.

It must be terrible for Ricky that he cannot buy off this judge. He gets no respect anymore, not being governor and all 🙂

  7. I don’t suppose there will be a third attempt to get the charges dismissed…. Oops.

  8. Marge Wood says:

Big grin. Y’all hang in there.

  9. Well now Gee…. isn’t that just too bad?

The part of the story that has me in hysterics…. is the part where this is going to keep him from raising money to run for President. A race we all know he cannot win.

That deserves another: Well now Gee….. isn’t that just too bad? 🙂

    9
  10. pRick isn’t the only GOP wannabe nominee to be under indictment. Christie still isn’t free from the whole Bridgegate thing, either.

This is gonna be such fun!

Rhea–made me laugh out loud…you won the internet from my point of view today!
    I love you guys!

  12. The separation of powers is one of those peculiar constitutional conundrums that only applies to Republicans on demand. At all other times it doesn’t exist, exactly like the separation of church and State.

In Terry Prattchett’s The Last Continent they lock up the politicians as soon as they are elected on the theory that it saves a lot of time.

  14. Snort! Giggle! Guffaw!

I thought this would happen! Him not have elected power mojo anymore!

  15. So there ARE some judges worthy of the office in Texas. Saints be praised! Every once in a while there’s good news coming from Perryland.

  16. Marion (formerly known as MM) says:

On the other hand, the Texas Senate is allocating NO money in their first draft budget for the Public Integrity Unit (which is the entity that his indictment is all about). Imagine that, a Republican Legislature not funding a Public Integrity Unit. This will be the worst government in Texas in the 22 years I’ve lived here.

My joy about Perry’s charges not being dismissed is much diminished by this. 🙁

Maybe there won’t be any pesos to push the indictment further, then Perry can claim he wuz ‘xonerated completely.

  18. My little home county had its county judge and two commissioners on adult probation at the same time. We joked about them that they had to carefully schedule PO visits lest they have a quorum subject to the Open Meetings Act there at the local CSCD office.

  19. You’ll also be happy to know that Travis County Commissioners just allocated additional $200k for this trial. You welcome.

    19
  20. Judge Bert Richardson, Republican, has spoken. The case against Governor Perry will move forward.

Serious? Travis County did that? At least we have someone figuring on the cost of a trial or whatever.
