  1. Beautiful team helping to turn Texas blue!

  2. I love Grijalva almost as much as I love Steney Hoyer

Nineteen House Democrats took aim at the Army Corps of Engineers permit given to the Dakota Access Pipeline in a letter to President Barack Obama, signaling further battles on the horizon over the nationwide permit’s reauthorization next year.

Led by Rep. Raul Grijalva (Ariz.), the Natural Resources Committee’s top Democrat, the 19 lawmakers urged Obama to pursue a “full environmental review” of Dakota Access, the $3.7 billion pipeline that remains in limbo as the Corps pursues a re-review of its permit for the project to cross the Missouri River near the Standing Rock Sioux’s reservation in North Dakota.

“Dakota Access is an unacceptable example of an oil pipeline project being permitted without adequate public engagement or sufficient environmental review,” wrote the 19 Democrats, which also included Reps. Jared Polis (Colo.), Jared Huffman (Calif.), and Barbara Lee (Calif.). The letter was sent Thursday and released today.

Nationwide Permit 12, the Corps’ general permit for utility lines – including oil and gas pipelines – is slated for reauthorization early next year.

Craig Stevens, a DCI Group spokesman representing the Midwest Alliance for Infrastructure Now, a coalition of regional industry and labor groups backing the pipeline, says the Democrats got their facts wrong. Stevens circulated an annotated version of the letter he says corrects the record.

  4. Everybody works today?

Okay. Most of the day. But the minute the Stanford / Washington game comes on, I’m punching out.

  5. Bless their hard working hearts! It is definitely not too early to wish them a Merry Christmas!

  7. Red-face.

    We’ve all done it.

  8. Does anybody think that Ted C supporting porn watching Trump will have a detrimental effect on his career?

Republicans supporting Trump must be dying inside.
I would think more of them if they would stand up and say ” Enough is enough, I’m not supporting Trump!”

    Dining table Democracy.

    Ain’t it GREAT?

  10. A big thanks to everyone!

Chloe Bear, I would not have know about the 19 Democrats you wrote about without you, so please stop blushing. Your mispost did a lot of good.

Everyone, our influence has spread to Brazos Valley. I’ll soon be 68, well before the election, and for the first time I received mail complete with the mail in application all ready for me to fill out. I plan to vote in person, but it is great to have the option and an easy way to do it. You guys (gender neutral as I’m from NJ) are the greatest!

  11. money has been sent!!

  12. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Hazel is one of the best! Hope she receives her best thank you ever with the voters of Texas defeating Donnie.

fwiw Hilz is now 6+ in NV polls thanks to all those who share Hazel’s tenacity. Points also to the Culinary Workers Union for showing just why Donnie is NOT for the working person.

Ivanka. Really? Puh-leeze. Donnie, your own father, who separated you from your newborn to advance his ambitions is pro woman and families; you seriously expect us to believe that?

  13. with any luck, a lot more people will finally wake up from our long national nightmare, and toss the tea party bozos out of congress.
