  1. Charles R Phillips says:

    Great, love ’em all!

  2. I look at what WWII vets went through to protect us from totalitarianism and I see what 45 brings to the story: Supporters that are pearlclutching brownshorts, terrified into acting by his whims…

  3. Old Fart, you remind me that Trump reminds me (and others) of Roderick Spode in PG Wodehouse’s Jeeves and Wooster stories. He was the head of a group called the Black Shorts, all the good shirts having been taken.

“The trouble with you, Spode,” said Bertie Wooster, “is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you’re someone. You hear them shouting ‘Heil, Spode!’ and you imagine it is the Voice of the People.”

Spode is a bit more articulate than Trump, though:

Roderick Spode: Citizens of Totleigh-in-the-Wold, I say to you that nothing stands between us and our victory except defeat! Tomorrow is a new day! The future lies ahead!

Barmy Fotheringay-Phipps: D’you know, I never thought of that.

  4. Jane & PKM says:

Donnie’s “culture war” ship would look better after a Titanic style iceberg encounter. Bigly better. Wishing Dotard45 and all the snacilbupeR a huge blue wave tsunami of votes returning the House and Senate to Democratic control. GO BETO!

  5. @Jane & PKM #4:

An “iceberg” made of kindness and bravery…

  6. Jane & PKM says:

Old Fart @5 “kindness and bravery” would certainly assure Dotard45 and crew would not know what hit them.

  7. Saw this the WaPo this AM: CARTOON – small female child with backpack asking an armed six foot plus high US soldier , Pardon me. Is this the home of the brave?
