Freedom Works Was a Dick Army All Along

December 31, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Remember when I told you that Dick Armey is so rotten to the core that Freedom Works was willing to pay him $8 to just leave?

Well, the Dick speaks.

“I can’t stay [at FreedomWorks], I can’t work with people like this, and I can’t afford to leave with empty pockets,” Armey told ABC of his thought process at the time.

As a consultant, Armey will receive $400,000 a year until he turns 92, a total of $8 million. The deal will allow him to, as he said, “never have to work again ever.”

Okay, numero uno – Dick Armey has never worked a day in his life.  He’s a man who will never drown in his own sweat.  It is said that he’s not afraid of hard work – he can lay down right beside it and sleep like a baby.

Numero dos – So, Republicans are saying we should raise the tax increase level to people who make over $500,000 a year.  If you don’t have to work on $400,000 a year, $350,000 a year sounds like the perfect cut-off level.

Numero threeo – Only in America does being a total rightwing jerk pay so well.

Thanks to Brian for the heads up.

  1. The man is a d___. And I don’t mean that in a good way, neither. You will remember that this charming individual (NOT) is the one who referred to Barney Frank in a taped telephone call as “Barney Fag.”

    Here’s the link:

In 1995 Armey referred to openly homosexual Congressman Barney Frank, as “Barney Fag”. Armey said it was a slip of the tongue. Frank did not accept Armey’s explanation, saying “I turned to my own expert, my mother, who reports that in 59 years of marriage, no one ever introduced her as Elsie Fag.”

  2. $400 thousand a year for doing nothing–and they call a kid getting a free school lunch a moocher or “taker.”

  3. Lorraine in Spring says:

Who believes Dick got such a deal because of all his hard work for Freedomworks? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

I think that, since Dick’s been around so long, he has a ton of dirt on people (ie:Repubs/TeaPeople) so he’s receiving hush money not to sell it to the highest bidder.

That and he’s just a piece of …. something.

  4. I feel about this like I do Sarah The Grifter. If dumb right-wingers want to give these cons their money – let ’em! That’s less money to be donated to right-wing campaigns.

  5. m in El Paso says:

Well said, OldMayfly! We need to be reminded who is “on the dole” in a gigantic way in our country: corporations and the over-compensated, under-taxed obscenely wealthy, (like right-wing consultants) not food stamp recipients.

  6. Now if Newt and Ms Bachmann would take large sums of money from the Kochs and move to poor, pathetic Belize, I’d like that trend. Does the $400,000 mean Dick has to shut up or is he free to incite hush money from some lackwit like Sheldon.

  7. Ralph Wiggam says:

Greed never rests. Just because he doesn’t HAVE to work doesn’t mean he won’t be at some county fair selling snake oil or pickin’ pockets. It’s not over. It never is.

  8. He’s a geezer, he’s a fat pig, his skin tone isn’t good… he probably only exercises when walking between his desk and the bar in his well appointed home office, or when out stomping thru cornstalks stalking pheasant with assault rifles. He won’t make it to 92.

  9. gabberflasted says:

And we are to believe this 400 grand is ALL he will have to spend? Complete utter BS!

  10. If only he does nothing, ever again. I’d consider it a blessing.

  11. So… if Dick Armey is a Republican consultant who is paid $400,000 a year, and by his own words he will “never have to work again ever,” that might explain the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of other Republican consultants in the last election. Keep ’em all on the payroll!

  12. scottybeamer says:

I think they’re betting on the fact that he will probably not live to be 92………..most don’t. Anyone with that much hate in their system surely won’t last that long. That Karma thingy can get really ugly sometimes…..:)

  13. If it means Armey will stop doing stuff it’s almost worth it–especially since FreedomWorks is paying.

Note: Never, ever trust anyone who gives themselves a name like “FreedomWorks.” It is safe to assume they are against both freedom and work.

  14. Tricky-Dicky better have a smart lawyer in his back pocket ’cause his annual ‘annuity’ will likely get cut for some minor infraction of the contract he signed. The other Dick (Richard Whatshisname?) who agreed to pay to get rid of this Dick, didn’t become wealthy being stupid. Dicky-boy will be lucky to see some of the first year’s payment.

  15. A definition of a consultant (I’ll try to clean it up a bit for Momma): a man who knows 101 ways to have sex but doesn’t know any women.
