Finally!

September 23, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, I have to admit that I am thankful for Lt. Governor Dan Patrick today.  At least he’s a Republican willing to tell the truth.

Explaining why he leads Republican Donald Trump’s Texas presidential campaign, Patrick said Democrat Hillary Clinton would have people “coming from all over the world.”

And then?

“It will be very tough, Mark, to actually elect a Republican again to the White House.”

Dan Patrick leads Donald Trump’s presidential race in Texas, and he’s freely and proudly admitting that Trump’s immigration policy is based on politics.

I love my country this much.

I love my country this much.

So to the little boy sitting in back of an ambulance in total shock and covered with blood, we’d love to help you, but Dan Patrick sheds his Christian faith at the White House door.  Or, the voting booth.  He leaves it outside the voting booth so he can bring his own personal devils in there with him.

Sweet Jesus, I hate these people.  I really do.

Be social and share!

In order of snacilbupeR obnoxious, Lyin’ Ryan remains in first place. Admitting to all of Donnie’s faults, Ryan still supports Donnie because he knows Hilz would never sign one of his starve granny and the children budgets. Meh, what’s a nukular war, when he can grind his heels on the poor?

  2. Saw a “cartoon” of the little boy covered in dust, blood and shock sitting in the middle of a bowl of Skittles. This really, really blew me away.

  3. Since he doesn’t even want people who are already, born-in-the-US citizens to vote (at least not those icky colored and female ones), I guess this makes sense, in purely evil self-centered way.

Trump has contributed one kinda-sorta positive thing. He’s opened up a window into the selfishness, racism, sexism, and all kinds of hatefulness that has previously been detectable only through close observation of patterns of action. Well, now we know what Patrick and his ilk are thinking. Ugly, but undeniable now.

  4. I’ve wondered a lot how people can hold such racist, hateful views and still call themselves Christians. Reading a WaPo story about a race war, I came across a term I’d never heard of. Christian Identity. Turns out there’s a whole religious movement that most white supremacists adhere to. It legitimizes (in their eyes) all of their twisted beliefs. Obviously most Christian people would find this stuff as repulsive as I do, but I can’t help but believing that in some small way it influences more people than anyone would suspect. Reading The Wikipedia entry was compelling and actually explained a lot. But now I need a shower.

Good. Charles Comer compares you to Molly Ivins. Good company. You might want to see my FB post of a few minutes ago–“Second Amendment Anyone?”

  6. He is – and always has been – a truly loathsome creature.

  7. When Patrick was running for office I had a picture of him on the back of my truck with the caption: “DOES THIS ASS MAKE MY TRUCK LOOK BIG?”

  8. @Mike

Update that picture of Patrick with a picture of Hair Drumpf and your caption becomes timely again!

  9. P.P., these people can still call themselves Christians because they have redefined what the word “Christians” means.

This is the only way right-wingers can win any argument since facts, science, ethics, and reality are all against them.

    9
  10. Dan Patrick sheds his “christian faith” with every breath he takes.

  11. Marcia in CO says:

JJ, I totally agree with you on this one: Sweet Jesus, I hate these people. I really do.

And, as long as I am alive, I hope to God we NEVER have another Republican in the White House!!

  12. JAKvirginia says:

Dan Patrick is there because millions of TX Dems couldn’t be bothered to vote. Like it or not America, you do get the government you deserve.

Vote like your life depended on it. Because it does.
    VOTE!

  13. maggie, your cartoon reminds me of one from the 1980s: little kid in the middle of a big nothing, eating something out of a bowl. Reagan comes up, says, “You’re not TRULY needy,” grabs the bowl and leaves. Kid looks up and says, “Now I am….”

Republicans haven’t changed since then, unless to get worse.

    13
  14. Laurel, you very ably described the snacilbupeR: “purely evil self-centered way.”

P.P., I did some research on Christian Identity several years ago. It’s based on a bizarre and twisted take on the bible and ancient history. The important part for the sick scum who believe it is that Jesus really was white as were the “real” Israelites” based on some comically derived immigration scheme to and from England before it was England. Just because this insane theory flies in the face of history, archeology, ancient languages, logic and plain old common sense is irrelevant.

    14
  15. The more I see of republicans like those two, the more I dispise them. and the more I know they have no faith Christian or otherwise.

  16. Linda Phipps says:

I wish people would quit saying that Trump voters would get the government they deserve. In my unkindest moments (becoming more frequent), I would love to see them suffer. Unfortunately it would affect all of us.

    16
  17. JAKvirginia says:

“… it would affect us all.” Exactly. That’s why complacency is not an excuse. Silence = consent.

    VOTE.

  18. In the era I grew up in, that kind of admission would be considered despicable. And the politician who uttered it would have ended his career.

Nowadays, however, the odiousness of that remark is unremarkable – and pretty much expected from the Republican party.

Is it any wonder why I have lost my faith in the future of the United States?
