Family Values With Someone Else’s Family

March 24, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Alabama Governor Robert Bentley ran as a family-values Republican.  He just won’t real clear about whose family he meant.

UnknownAlabama Gov. Robert Bentley admitted Wednesday he made “inappropriate” comments to his chief advisor two years ago but denied he had an affair with her.

Bentley said there was no “sexual activity” between him and Rebekah Caldwell Mason, 43, a longtime staffer, influential consultant and former Miss Alabama contender.

I dunno.  Rachel Maddow played the tapes last night and they were rather explicit about touching Ms. Mason’s ta-tas and patootie.

“You know what? When I stand behind you and I put my arms around you, and I put my hands on your breasts, and I put my hands on you (unintelligible) and pull you real close…Hey, I love that too, putting my hands under you.”

The two-term Republican governor later tells Mason: “I love you. I love to talk to you. I do…But baby, lemme tell you what we’re gonna have to do tonight: Start locking the door. If we’re gonna do what we did the other day, we’re gonna have to start locking the door.”

He’s a Baptist deacon in his spare time.

Sure thing, Bob. You and ol’ Rebekah were simply shredding documents like the good little snacilbupeR that you are. Thus, the need to lock the door.

  3. Between being governor and his hankypanky, I’m surprised he has any spare time to be a deacon. I see he’s a dermatologist, too. Maybe he’s been ‘playing doctor’ since he was 4 years old and never grew up.

I hope his wife never poses in a picture next to him ever again. We watched Rachel telling this story. He kept saying he did not do “anything illegal”, he forgot sleazy and in his world immoral. Also the aide makes more than $400,00/year and it is not clear who pays her. There are lots of layers to this story.

  6. There is just no telling with propinquity. When propinquity sets in real bad, somebody’s gonna be looking over somebodyelse’s shoulder counting ceiling tiles. Including Al Abama gubnors what are Babtist deacons in their spare time and Babtist Communications Directors working for that same Al Abama gubnor.

  8. Susan on the Left Coast says:

It was the godly governor’s wife who made recordings of his phone calls. The second recorded of her calls captured the Gov. telling his mistress that they needed to move his secretary’s desk further away from his office door….apparently that is the door they needed to remember to lock for their next tryst.

In the follow-the-money discussions…it is revealed that the mistress’ husband was given a tax funded hefty paying job to head a newly – made just for him – gov. faith based agency in the state capital.

Mrs. Mistress also happens to be a Sunday school teacher at the Gov’s church.

  11. Rufus Firefly says:

The now indicted Speaker of the Alabama House Mike Hubbard wrote a vanity book, “Storming the Statehouse” back in 2011/12 detailing how Republicans were elected because they were going to return honesty, integrity and God to the Statehouse.

The latest revelations about our Governor on top of the charges against Mr. Hubbard show Democrats were mere amateurs in the corruption business in Alabama.

  20. Tilphousia says:

Anyone else not surprised? These hypocrites scream loud and long about “Christian values” and the suckers believe them. If the school systems have been dumbed down people believe the lies that are standard fare for republicans. The Republican Party deserves to be consigned to the local dump. the rankest part.

  23. okie-dokie says:

We know what hypocrites the Rs and loudly public “Baptists” are. Normally when an R is messing around on their spouse it seems to be with a member of the same gender. This one seems unusual because he is cheating on his wife with a woman.
