Doubling Down

February 20, 2014 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

In case you were wondering if Texas Democrats are making too big a deal out of Ted Nugent, the man who admits to several sexual exploits with underage girls, has been sued for child support, wants Hillary Clinton to “suck” on his gun, has proudly made racist statements, and promotes violence against women, campaigning with Texas politicians … there’s this.

Despite calling the president a “sub-human mongrel” last month, rocker Ted Nugent hasn’t lost support among Republican allies in Texas.

Sid Miller, a candidate for Agriculture Commissioner, stands behind Nugent, who serves as the campaign’s treasurer and co-chairman.

“We are not going to do anything to distance ourselves from Ted Nugent,” said Todd Smith, a Miller spokesman and strategist. “If we had concerns about some of the things that Mr. Nugent has said or done, we wouldn’t have reached out to him and asked him to become involved in our campaign on such a high level.”

Republicans in Texas think they are bulletproof.  They win and they’ll legalize everything Ted Nugent has done and memorialize everything he’s said.

They double down and so do I.

Ill be home next week meaner than ever.

Be social and share!

Every mother’s son who isn’t a gohmert should realize what a waste of speech Nugent is. Way to go Gregg, you are offending men as fast as you offend women. Keep up the good work, Sparky and your base will be that small percentage of knuckle dragging gohmerts. Go Blue Texas thanks you.

Holy Gohmerts! Caribou Barbie, transplant scammer to Scottsdale, AZ, endorses the Nuge endorsing the gohmerts.

” “If he is good enough for Ted Nugent, he is good enough for me!”

That’s an astonishingly low bar for someone who wants to be governor. But it is about as high as Palin can see. You may recall that her own turn at governing a state ended when she quit midway through her first term after being resoundingly bitch-slapped by America in her bid to move to Washington, D.C. But to cite Ted Nugent’s support as a reason to back Abbott stretches the boundaries of sanity. Essentially Palin is saying that if Abbott is good enough for a draft-dodging, pedophile, who has publicly advocated violence against his political foes (especially women), then she is all for him. Here is an example of the kind of vision that Palin admires in Nugent:”

On the plus side, loving every indication Sarah is scrapping for pennies, after another failed book.

Maybe we judge Theodore too harshly. He,in fact, did his doody,he proudly wore his doody like a wingnut wears a real ‘murrican flag lapel pin. He wore his “cover scent” to the induction center, but their sense of smell did not appreciate his sense of humor. Nah!

e platypus onion, the Nugget of Nonsense is crazier than most gun gohmerts, but he does share in their cowardice. Gohmerts who would defend America from their front yards have zero knowledge of history or geography, when they defend threat level zero. By their own logic, they own guns to protect themselves from the government taking their guns. Convene the circular firing squad and let them all play hero for the weekend. It’s the least we can do to pay tribute to their pretzel logic. May the last gohmert standing be taken into custody. We’ll all be safer.

Psssst Todd, Sarah is getting feelings again. Must really gohmert to be a cuckolded pimp. BTW Sorry about your misfire in the Iron Poop Fest. Men on machines will always lose to real men who have loving dogs to win their race. If you enter one final year of humiliation, you could carry Sarah along to tow you to the finish line. Or not, she’s a dog like you, but a quitter, too.

“Actually, Abbott’s choice of Nugent is illuminating in the sense that swamp gas can provide light if a lit match is present.

Nugent’s affinity for very young girls underlines a troubling trend we’ve been seeing in the repubican party for quite some time; they don’t like or trust women, and they’re perfectly willing to put up with a pedophile who preys on young girls to show their contempt of women in general.”

This fruit is rotten to the core.

  7. Nugent’s bilious blather doesn’t bother me for two reasons.

First, he is already being punished for his nastiness in that he has to be Ted Nugent. I can’t think of many worse punishments.

Second, his attacks are one of the best advertisements for voters to go progressive.

  8. Right, Lynn,,I want to encourage Abbot to take Nugent with him every where. It is the best possible move for Texas. I won’t say a word against it.
The more attention Ted gets, the more he wants, and the more outrageous he will be… and the worse Abbot will look.

Poor, poor, pitiful Teddy, who feels SO VERY sorry for himself…

  12. This is off-topic, you-all, but what’s this story about a college student in Austin stopped by police for jay-walking (or jay-jogging) and then cuffed and thrown into a police car because she didn’t have any ID on her?

The account I read stated that in Texas, the police can arrest you at any time for not having ID. Is that true?

Gosh I remember all those WWII movies with the menacing line: “Show me your papers!”

    12
  13. This leaves me (almost) speechless. There is nothing admirable or even interesting aboot Ted Nugent. I’m just sorry some of his lyrics can’t be quoted to a grand jury somewhere in an indictment.

    13
  14. Ted, get back to Michigan
to campaign for Snyder and Land.
    Please?

    14
  15. Old Mayfly: That concerned me, too. Is that really the law in Texas, or was this a case of over zealous policing? Things have really gone too far.

    15
  16. maryelle,

Been reading some comments re the jogger arrest and someone identifying as a Texas lawyer said that police can ask you your name and address if they are arresting you or issuing you a citation. They can’t (legally) arrest you for not carrying some card or paper ID on your person.

According to DMN,numbuts Ted half-heartedly apologized-not to Obama, but apparently to white wingnuts. Like Molly Ivins said, you gotta dance with the ones that brung ya. I hope they all have left feet and fall on their faces and then their concealed weapons would go off and then the place would break out in a mass shootout and everybody there would….. I think this is a re-run of a lousy Dallas episode.

  18. (Just a little aside… Just discovered this site through a comment to a Gail Collins’ column in the NY Times – I live in Virginia. And if not for the northern part, near DC, everyone would probably be calling us Little Texas.) Anyway, some additional facts on ol’ Ted, which I don’t think anyone has included here: He was a draft dodger, whose number came up during the Vietnam War. To look unfit mentally, he defecated all over himself and then “reported for duty.” In addition, I’ve read that he drank copious amount of coffee for several weeks before, which made him appear unfit physically too, the caffeine sending his blood pressure through the roof. In other words, he’s a classic Republican patriot, nothin’ but breath and britches, who tucked his tail and ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction when his country called on him to make the ultimate sacrifice, and who now makes a real comfortable living waving the flag in front of a bunch of empty-headed conservatives.
