Damn Camera

August 03, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, after Stephen Miller’s unseemly tirade yesterday, Republicans are pleading for no more on-camera daily briefings.

Seriously.  It was the camera’s fault, not the idiots the White House sends to do the briefings.

Conservatives are arguing that the White House should once again take the press briefings dark after Wednesday’s on-camera event turned into a shouting match between a White House aide and members of the media.

White House policy adviser Stephen Miller engaged in a heated back-and-forth with two of the administration’s biggest media nemeses – CNN and The New York Times – provoking some in conservative circles to declare that it was a mistake to give reporters the exposure they crave by broadcasting the daily briefings.

No, no, no, no. It wasn’t that reporters crave “exposure.” Exposing lies and hypocrisy, yep. But not “exposure.” You’re thinking of Donald Trump, Buddy.

Let me ask a question: if Stephen Miller really showed-up Jim Acosta like conservatives said Miller did, then why in God’s name would they want to go “dark?”  Why not show-up the press in public and let people see they are “preening?”

Yeah, I thought so. That doesn’t make sense.

Thanks to Deb for the heads up.

  1. Yes!
Let’s let Stephen Miller win more of these battles in a public forum, witnessed by the citizens.

As Donald Trump promised if elected, “we’ll have so much winning, you’ll get bored with winning.”

I only watched a part of that s***show; I couldn’t stand to watch the sneering speech on the part of the Miller excrescence.

If my opinion were asked, I’d say “cosmopolitan” is a real compliment, and one that Miller should wish to be referred by.

The whole smarmy disingenuous “I am so SHOCKED and HURT by your statement that only people from Great Britain and Australia speak English, that is so SHOCKING and HURTFUL” statement was altogether too much. Particularly when Acosta said nothing of the sort; but you knew that already.

Truth be told, conservatives will claim a certain level of plausible deniability with tRumps big mouth even though they agree with everything he is doing. He is their dancing monkey that is getting away with saying the crude, vile, craven comments that they fully believe.

Because it’s tRump and his big mouth a lot of people aren’t picking up that conservatives are being shielded by tRump himself. tRump will take the fall for his vile comments, but conservatism will dodge judgement because they will just say, “it was all tRump.” Plausible deniability.

Every time I see Stephen Miller, he looks like the reincarnation of Goering.

  8. @Sam in St Paul

That’s because Herr Miller said, in part,

    Heil Hitler.

  9. Sam, right on! I especially got that drift when he separated Emma Lazerus’s poem from the base of the Statue of Liberty and down-sassed it as something that happened later and apart from Lady Liberty so hells bells, it means nothing nohow nowhere.

Dear General Kelly, Make this jerk go away and like yesterday!
