Cabin’s Closed!

October 25, 2016 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Log Cabin Republicans declined to endorse Donald Trump.

“But Log Cabin Republicans have long emphasized that we are not a single-issue organization, nor are our members single-issue voters,” the group said in a statement. “Even if we were, rhetoric alone regarding LGBT issues does not equate to doctrine.”

Yep, all three of the Log Cabin Republicans are not supporting Trump this year.

I do not care that they say he’s the most pro-gay GOP nominee in Republican history.  First of all, that’s not a real high bar to jump, you know.  And every elected Republican supporting him is viciously anti-gay.

Secondly, even though Trump has not insulted gay people, it’s just a matter of time.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

There are three Log Cabinettes? One must’ve died.

Yes, I will be a snarky sumbitch. Gay and Republican do not go together… evah! You can’t be both at the same time. It’s against the laws of physics, much less plain damn common sense. Promising to protect your A-gay trust fund inheritance is not “pro gay”. Gay my butt.

There are a WHOLE LOT of Democrats who aren’t anti-gay.

Of course, they’re not anti-poor or anti-immigrant either. Still, one out of three ain’t really all that bad, is it LC’s?

Until they roll up the cattle cars. You have learned nothing from history.

  4. Peter Thiel is gay and has supposedly given Trump a million or two but he’s also a big douchebag. Guess log cabin republicans think their money makes them immune to conservative LGBT hate.

To state that Donnie has not insulted the LGBTQA community is to give the twitter twerp undue credit for not being specific. Face it, “specific” is a word that is tough to work into any sentence about Donnie. “Not specific” is Donnie; as in his ‘plans’ to destroy ISIS, fix whatever and govern. Remember Donnie’s latest, his Regret-ysburg address outlining his first imaginary days in the White House? Yes Donnie, I feel your regret that you will never be President. I can live with that, unlike living with the regret of you being anywhere near the Oval Office.

Donnie insults women, Hispanics, African Americans, POC, immigrants, Native Americans; or to be brief every American. Two weeks to the election and plenty of time for Donnie to directly insult the LGBTQA community rather than indirectly by whichever segment he might assign them to as Americans. My good friends do not feel neglected that Donnie has yet to insult you by name. Rest assured it was an oversight on his part.

Add another name to Donnie’s twitter targets: Samantha Bee. Wait for it.

Thank goodness Trump won’t ever have to have an abortion.

  7. @ glf: That seems to be a prominent belief. David Brock certainly subscribed to it.

Check out “Blinded by the Right.” But don’t buy it. Check it out at the library or hunt it down in the 2nd-hand stores. It’s quite self-serving — a combination of “The liberals made me do it,” and “The Republicans duped me.”

One day he may learn to take responsibility for his own actions. But that day is not yet.

What is it his former party touts all the time? Oh, that’s right. But only for “those people.”

  8. Wait, Trump hasn’t insulted LGBTs? There must be a “yet” hovering at the end of that sentence. I’m sure he’ll correct the oversight soon.

    PKM, thanks for the link!

  9. that’s a bar so low I could accidentally fall over it. this must be the single most self-hating group of people I’ve ever heard of, worse than women republicans, only because they aren’t an actual organized group. who joins a group, one of whose basic tenets is that they hate people like you? in the case of the GOP, you can count who they do like on one hand, and have 4 digits left over.

I’d almost feel bad for them, except they knowingly did this to themselves, so they have only themselves to blame.

  10. I may have never told y’all that I am madly, passionately, insanely in love with Samantha Bee. Thanks for the link PKM. Her closing line was the best:

“[Women] were buying t-shirts and warming to a passionate, unapologetic feminist we haven’t seen since the 1990’s who stood in a shower of sh*t and managed to do what 16 primary candidates and the entire Republican establishment couldn’t, namely, beat this d*ck wielding Berlusconi knock off like a little b*tch.”

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
    See? What’s not to love?!
