Because Republican Women Bring Home the Bacon and Then Like To Eat It Raw

There’s something awfully weird about Republican women.

So, here’s the deal.  Republican women would rather be paid less than men for the same job just so long they get to watch people go without healthcare.

I think they are serious about this.

Republican Shelley Moore Capito, who is running for Senate in West Virginia, even goes one step further —

Coal Burnin' Capito

Coal Burnin’ Capito

Chuck Flannery, Capito’s political director, said the West Virginia congresswoman has been long supportive of women’s issues, and her campaign in the Senate carries on the same tradition. Capito has pointed to Obamacare as particularly harmful to women in West Virginia as well as environmental restrictions on coal.

She’s for you not having health care and getting lung cancer. And she’s willing to be paid less to do it!  Helluva plan, ma’am.

Obamacare makes health care more gender neutral.  However, Republican women aren’t all that big on equality.

Here’s what I think.  Any female elected official who opposes a gender neutral health care plan for America and equal pay for women should give up their health care and take a 30% pay cut.

And Capito should have to spend a month working in a coal mine.  But only because she makes my skin crawl.

Be social and share!

Maybe the women who think equal pay isn’t important should get paid less than the men in the same elected offices.

  2. West “By God” Virginia.

    What to say???

  3. I love the Google machine.

    This is from USA Today:

More than expected have signed up for the ACA in West “By God” Virginia, and the DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR got signed on to the Medicaid Expansion……

This woman is not only “ignorant” she’s stupid. It’s not an either/or situation. Women can have both….good health care, and good wages unless….. they elect idiots like this.

When I saw the headline I was afraid the story was about that Republican woman who castrates pigs.

But turns out it is about a piggy Republican woman who is running for office and has no idea of the sacrifices earlier women and men made in order for her to be eligible.

I agree with Don A–if she wins (and I hope she doesn’t) let her be content with 3/4 of the pay.

Shelley is Arch Moore’s daughter. Arch switched parties so he could run a couple times as governor & while in the gold-leaf domed statehouse, kept at least $150K in “walking around” money in his desk drawer. During Arch’s various tenures, he made Louisiana governors look pure as the driven snow. The culture of corruption was so strong that there were entire towns of dead people who voted for Arch, no matter what his current party affiliation.

Shelley is a chip off the old block complete with her own scandals & kickbacks from King Coal.

The circular ‘logic’ of Republicans is very confusing to me. Too many Republican men have neanderthal attitudes toward women, and if Ms Capito is any example, too many Republican women accept the abuse.

Clean water, clean air, health care, equal pay, renewable energy … what’s not to like about those things?

  7. It’s like Anna Kasparian on the Young Turks said – “If you have a vagina and vote Republican, you are a moron.”

  8. I’m beginning to think that Repub women are victims of a form of Stockholm syndrome.

  9. Ralph Wiggam says:

If they give the West Virginians cancer, there is no point in giving them healthcare too. It defeats the purpose.

  10. Lorraine in Spring says:

I hope she gets a lump of coal in her Christmas Stocking while she’s hacking up a lung from bronchitis left untreated because she was menstruating when she asked Hobby Lobby if she could see a doctor because she can’t afford to pay out of pocket due to being paid less than a man with a penis pump & free viagra.

    Good Grief.

  11. The #2 scary thing is that they think this crap actually makes sense. The #1 scary thing is how many people vote for them.

Dying of black lung disease was good enough for our grandparents, its good enough for our grand children, damnit. Everybody in West Virginia knows black lung is good-healthcare is bad.

  13. maryelle says:

Republicans who are so willing to let people die from lack of healthcare should all be forced to give up their health insurance, especially if it is provided by the government.

  16. She owes her soul to the company store — if she has a soul at all, which is doubtful.

    17
  17. She’s probably losing out on a few extra votes because she doesn’t take it far enough. Where’s a real conservative candidate who will push for a law that keeps womenfolk in the kitchen, barefoot, weather permitting or not. Any good, resourceful wife knows enough to hoist up her cold tootsies next to the wood burning cookstove for a moment or two this time of year.

    18
  18. She’d fit right in around here.

  19. @Marla: Or a very (not so) handsome woman.

  20. Elizabeth says:

Clearly the “women’s issues” she’s been supportive of are those favored by rich white women: keeping the bloodlines pure, finding the right maid and cook, and having people treat you well.

    21
  21. Agree with all of the above! What Capito is doing is called a “distraction”. She doesn’t want you finding all those sites on the internet that will reveal her voting record, her absences when Congress is in session and a whole bunch of other naughty stuff like campaign funding. Oddly enough, there are a lot of West Virginians who do not like her. The problem seems to be that there aren’t really enough candidates of any real worth to run against her. This is pre-primary time and things are still very unsettled. Hope they find a really good candidate to give her a whuppin’.

  23. VintageMomma says:

OK, I’m just gonna say it – she needs to turn in her ta tas. There ought to be a law against impersonating a woman.
