Because Fooling the People is Their Family Business

Headline over at Business of Fashion.

Okay, so here’s the deal.  Ivanka’s clothing line isn’t selling well at SteinMart.  So they are taking her label out, feeling it to poor children and then hiring other poor children to make a different label.

I assure you, it’s all about helping the poor children.  I can’t think of any other reason why they’d do something like that.

For the Trumps, it’s all about branding. On a side note, will Ivanka be the 2024 Republican nominee?

  2. It is so obvious that she is trying like mad to avoid court cases etc. that would send her brand down the rabbit hole, but she had better be a bigger girl than she thinks she is. The karma is big on this one!

    Ok. Now I boycott AV.

  4. “Grab Your Wallet,” the boycott leader, has been on top of this since yesterday. She’s really sharp and all over the Twitterverse telling about the latest iteration of Orange family scummery.

There are many reasons I wouldn’t purchase anything with a Drumpf brand or discount re-brand. But seriously, there is no way I would buy a flammable ‘gift’ for Jane produced by exploited child labor.

Ivanka is to human rights as Betsy Devos is to education. Until all of the Donnie orbiters recognize their white privilege and inherited $$$ head start on third base, they have no business yapping. STFU already.

Disco matron. The cut is for junior miss or younger. The colors, prints, and general style is how my mother (who would be over 100 if she were still with us) would dress a teenager. And 75% of it is sleeveless (wasn’t that Michelle Obama’s biggest fashion sin?) Of the remaining 25%, half is outer wear.

Steinmart is now on my list of places to never shop. What a tacky and dishonest thing to do.
