I vow to be less of a curmudgeon but not so anyone else can tell.

  2. I’m going to stay my old sweet self. And, it that pisses people off…….. so be it.

  3. Happy New Year… JJ….. and Mr JJ.

    Stay safe.

  4. Ralph Wiggam says:

I prefer to celebrate the Buddhist New Year so that I can avoid such embarrassing questions.

    4
  5. Happy New Year Susan and Mr. Susan (I, oops, temporarily forget his name!)

    5
  6. I’m going with my usual resolution — drink more champagne in the coming year. It is one I can keep!

    6
  7. Happy New Year to you, Bubba, and your entire family, including the 4-legged ones! ;o)

I quit making resolutions a long time ago … why make’em only to break’em … I look forward to a new year of your insightful blog entries!!

Have never made a resolution……..no point starting now. I do hope everyone has a wonderful and pleasant new year. I look forward to more news and fun on this site. I’m sure the politicians will provide us with more news than we sometimes care to know..:)

  9. Cheryl Ann says:

I’m not calling them resolutions, but I have a 13 point goal list for 2013. (My life needs a bit of a do-over)

    9
  10. Resolutions? I resolve to not make resolutions.

    10
  11. I have a whole bunch of resolutions, but since they’re all for the Republican leadership I think I can safely say they will fail on Day 1.

    11
  12. I, like Cheryl Ann, need to do some refitting… But I hereby resolve to have less, by choice. There are a couple of garage sales in my near future. The less stuff I have, the less I need to dust.

    Happy new year, all.

    13
  13. I’m with Sandino: I resolve to drink more champagne!

Happy New Year y’all! I try to do the “goal” thing, and like a couple of the others, I feel there is always room for improvement. Less procrastination and a little more self discipline are always how the list starts! If the weather is any kind of reasonable tomorrow I might rearrange the barn and work on a couple of unfinished projects. Reducing the number of unfinished projects i am facing is always on the list too! Maybe this will be the year!

    15
  15. I will continue to be fat, dumb and happy.

    16
  16. I’m going to try to be more optimistic but it probably won’t work.

    17
  17. Here ya go.

Well, that and a stronger bra. Much stronger.

    18
  18. I resolve to join one of the Democrat groups here in Austin and do my part to help de-elect (P)rick Perry in 2014. It’s a long term goal but one I’m dedicated to.

@ Lorinda, I’m going to be travelling lighter in 2013 myself. Too much junk. Time to find it a good new home. Goodwill here we come.

    19
  19. Well, I changed the sheets today and expect to do it every week in 2013 as well, maybe more often if the dog or cat throws up on the bed.

Getting rid of things sounds like a good idea.

Happy New Year everybody at TWMDBS!

    20
  20. I resolve to stop wishing for magical solutions to all my problems…just as soon as I win the lottery!

    21
  21. Happy New Year, y’all!

    22
  22. If a new round of budget cuts cause me to be laid-off again this year, I resolve to find a new career besides teaching!

    23
  23. @June: That reminded me of the time I found out that down comforters go through the washing machine and dryer just fine! It’s funny what having a bulemic cat can teach you about cleaning things!

    24
  24. Happy New Year, y’all. J.J., I resolve to eat what I want, when I want, and never gain an ounce. I am also going to clear out the clutter. Sounds like Goodwill is off to a good start this year. Have a great day, everybody.

  25. TexasEllen says:

Decluttering sounds like a worthy goal. Can Goodwill stand the tsunami? Having tried for years to break the truly ugly wedding present vase, I’ll just hide it in some clothes and maybe Goodwill can get a little money from someone with no taste.

I have resolved to once again not vote Republican. I even think that is one resolution I will be able to keep.
