That Ted Cruz’s campaign logo is a map of Texas burning down?

I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to Ted’s choice of logo, but now that you mention it, yeah. And it’s only on the red part, too.

Is he, like his father, a secret communist, directly linked to those that killed JFK? Or is he a part of the “shadow government,” seeking to overthrow peaceful, tranquil Texas?

    Enquiring minds demand answers, Teeeeeedddd!

    1
  2. Is Ted using subliminal messaging to hint at the truth?
Why not just say it? Out loud?

    C’mon, … Ted.

    2
  3. I dunno.

Looks kinda like the blue part is trying to save the red part from going up in smoke…

    3
  4. Texas needs to split into 6 or 7 pi$$ ant sized states and send 12 or 14 intelligent Senators to DeeCee. Raphael and Corny need not apply. 🙁

Micr, given the two ya got, we need some reassurance before you get 12. Heads on a pike, pelts, cement boots … You choose, then send out the 8×10 color glossies that ensure no more snacilbupeR will ever apply. Ever. Sort of like chatting about Cali having 12 or more; not until they throw Orange County to Utah or somewhere.

Might be achance that more people in Orange County are going vote Democrat.

    Seen this? https://crooksandliars.com/2018/10/ammar-campa-najjar-rolls-over-duncan

  7. Jane & PKM says:

Papa, we did see an Ammar Campa-Najjar’s interview yesterday. Not saying Karoli is wrong, but not trusting the electorate or those who do the count in Orange County. Demographics are changing for the positive in many regions. Some things just trip my suspicions like Dotard45 going to Elko, NV stumping for Dean Heller. Elko? If Donnie is being sent there to collect votes to offset Vegas, they’re up to something just like 2016.

    7
  8. Jane&PKM,

I live in very red AZ and I, too, am very suspicious who’s counting the votes here. I am a Democrat living in a community of Faux Noose zombie geezers who are loyal to the GOP & the Rump, even if they’re going to get screwed big time…smh…

    8
  9. I, for one, would sure like to see his birth certificate.

Texas DPS has a pretty good handle on the geo-politics of the state. I’d see states made out of each of their HP regions.

Inevitably some of these will be conservative, but the region around the majors, like Austin, Dallas, and Houston will lean liberally.

    10
  11. I’m surprised his logo doesn’t have a jagged dagger through the state.

    (And Spock with a beard)

Cruz has one thing on his mind…money. This film clip is from his event today: https://twitter.com/AlexThomasDC/status/1053403488577822720

  13. Y’all should use that flame to turn Rafael into Texas Toast

    13
  14. Just saw a clip from Trevor Noah’s show in which he encourages minority voters (in Texas that means any Democrat) to register as Republicans. This may safeguard their registrations and, of course, they may vote for candidates of either party once in the booth.

FYI: Here’s a direct link to the indictment that was unsealed by DOJ today. You should read this — the Russians script for Trump went after everyone from Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to John McCain and Robert Mueller, seemingly always in line with the Trump agenda.

The Houston Chronicle just endorsed Beto. About Cruz, among other sharp observations, they wrote:

“Ted Cruz — a candidate the Chronicle endorsed in 2012, by the way — is the junior senator from Texas in name only. Exhibiting little interest in addressing the needs of his fellow Texans during his six years in office, he has kept his eyes on a higher prize. He’s been running for president since he took the oath of office — more likely since he picked up his class schedule as a 15-year-old ninth-grader at Houston’s Second Baptist High School more than three decades ago. For Cruz, public office is a private quest; the needs of his constituents are secondary….

Voters don’t send representatives to Washington to win popularity contests, and yet the bipartisan disdain the Republican incumbent elicits from his colleagues, remarkable in its intensity, deserves noting. His repellent personality hamstrings his ability to do the job.”

What is it with Republicans and the publicists they hire? Do you think they might be having some fun at the candidates’ expense?

Do you recall the unfortunate logo of Trump/Pence 2016?
At the time, I figured that the artist may have thought, “Well, you KNOW Trump isn’t gonna pay me anyway so, why not show the people what they’re planning on doing to the country?”

    To Maryelle:
I know someone, here in Florida, who did exactly that. And he’s a white male so his vote is probably safe anyhow. His point, though, is a little different.

Here in Florida, we have closed primaries — so you can only vote during the primary if you declare your party and then only for the candidates in your declared party. So Rick votes as a Republican AND he votes for the gnarliest, nastiest R he can find on the ballot who will ABSOLUTELY LOSE if he makes it to the general election.

Now, there’s a strategy for ya.

  19. Notice the part of the flames start in rethuglicrat’s cuellar’s district and they encompass the 31st district that MJ is trying to save but, a faux d from neighboring district and a 68% voting record of supporting demented donnie, cuellar has decided to feed the flames by giving his d money for the thugs.
Amazing how this logo reflects the uglyness of thuglicrat alliance with thuglicans.

    19
  20. G Foresight,
I was just about to post about that mega Hou Chron endorsement, YBMTI.
Not only the Chron, but the Longview News-Journal (think Loonie Louis Gohmert) have endorsed Beto.
I wonder if the rest of the major Texas newspapers will follow.
This might be enough to get the electoral scales rebalanced so that Beto could pull it off. But then again, IIRC, they were all against tRump and he still won by 9%, it is Texas.

    K,
You might be in Henry Cuellar’s District like me? I still stuff old garage rags up my nose, hold it, and vote for the weasely SOB. I ain’t going to ever vote for a damned Rescummie, even if the devil hisself was the Dem.
Unfortunately, Cuellar hasn’t ever had much strong opposition, either in the primary or general. As long as he keeps his base massive Laredo machine humming, he’s all there is. The rest of the district is pretty much diffuse rural areas, and it’s been gerrymandered that way.

    20
  21. K,
PS: I’ve donated to all the area ‘good’ Democrats several times (via ActBlue). Nothing to Cuellar.

    21
  22. First have local d’s disavow him
holding your nose as he smears the d party with his abhorrent votes and acceptance of evil does no good to any one.
Pester all d org’s to cut off all assistence to him.
    Just don’t vote for him.
write in Sam Houston’s name. A texan who faught the treason of the 1860’s rather then roll over for it. An example that d’s might ;earn. Standing up and fighting rather then just surrendering because…..
He is not alone. Lipinski, gabbard and case from hawaii who are d’s in name only, are other examples.
day after election start super pac “flush the trash” to encourage and finance primary campaigns against him, munchkin, donelley( support a wall- admit to being a thuglican), brederseen ( if he wins god forbid) and others who run as d’s only because it is convenient but hold onto reactionary tribalistic thuglican delusions no matter what reality is.
No saving grace to supporting, or accepting as inevitable, quislings.

    23
  23. Hey, that so called “flame” jolted me a lot. The outermost of the “flame” resembles sandscrit as used in the middle east. No, i have not been drinking!

    24
  24. Charles R Phillips says:

    Pretty sanskrit is from India.

    25
  25. Linda Phipps says:

The symbol of Christianity being used as subliminal persuasion to people react best to pictures. Pretty clever, Ted, moving even closer to the evangelical overtake of our government.

  26. That Other Jean says:

Truth in advertising comes to Texas! Whoever imagined it could come in the form of Ted Cruz’s logo?
