A Perfect Way to End the Year

January 01, 2013 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I have been watching the teevee and delighted in seeing the Republican congress pitch an indignant fit over President Obama’s speech today. They said he was disrespectful to them.

Really?

Let’s see, Congress has an 18% approval rating. That’s a dozen points below Paris Hilton and 10 points below a cockroach infestation.

President Obama has a 58% approval rating.

And Congress thinks he should respect them? Hell, their mother doesn’t even respect them.

President Obama took his 40 points out for a New Year’s Eve spin. I’ll bet you a slightly used New Year’s Eve noisemaker that his approval rating goes up tomorrow.

Happy new year and be safe out there.

Be social and share!

McCain needs to GET OVER the fact that HE LOST, and then shut his ugly mouth and go home to one of his many mansions. Maybe he and what’s his name who just lost the election could have breakfast together and cry over their spilled milk. If the President disrespected a single one of them, then I say GOOD FOR HIM! They deserve every word of disrespect anyone can muster.

  3. Left to the GOP they would have Obama buck dance everytime he saw one of them. Aren’t these the idiots who thought he should be hat in hand asking them what their pleasure was after the election?

    Idiots.

I am so sick of the GOP and their little bagger know nothing ankle biters. There is no way you can negotiate with dumb terrorist who don’t really want anything except re-election money and no taxes for rich people.

  4. Happy New Year, Juanita Jean and all the sane, funny people here.

  5. In Rethug speak – Respect = ‘Fetch me some…., boy” The only good thing about it is, like the old spiritual says “Look where, he brought me from…” every time I see these idiots, I thank God the majority of us are not them anymore..

    5
  6. Happy New Year everybody. Hopefully 2013 will be better. Hopefully.

For McCain and all those other delicate little flowers who find it upsetting that the President can speak, get over yourselves and wilt already.

  8. Happy New Year … January 1, 2013 … and so it begins anew … makes me wonder what kind of “new” craziness will crop up over the course of this year!

May God in all His mercy protect us from the crazies!!

It is a shame that the president insulted them. Gosh, I don’t know how he, or anyone, could say anything about them without insulting them. Now that trying to make him a one term president is out of the picture, they said that they will compromise now, but will bring him to his knees later -I think that is what the great senator from South Carolina said. How is bringing the president to his knees helping the country to improve, the job picture to improve, the health and welfare of all citizens to improve? Stupid Repugnicans.

The R’s are upset that Obama is out in public telling the truth? Using the bully pulpit to promote his agenda? Awwww…so sorry their little fee fees are hurt.

I am a DEMOCRAT. And a LIBERAL! This President confirms my choice in belief.
If linsey-woolsey said they will bring him to his knees, I think they already have. He has stated he prays to God on bended knee for guidance and the Republicans bowed to his wishes (so far). Have not lindsey’s wishes been answered?

  12. How many more years do we have to put up with this obvious racist hatred??? The younger generation..being more traveled, educated……hopefully will NOt be this stupid about race or sexual orientation.
But it will take those here in the South a LOT longer…can we get some more Northerners to come down for a while?????

    12
  13. Respect is earned. I’d like to know what part of whining and throwing feces against the wall for the past 4 years to see what sticks, has earned the Republican teabaggers any respect.

    13
  14. When the buses run their regular schedule tomorrow, I will Board the Camelback bus in Phoenix, ride by John McCain’s local office and flip him the bird. I recommend it as a great stress reliever. As for “Lindsey Woolsey” (love that nickname)
    South Carolina deserves him.

  15. Mixing religion and politics ensures that your politics can never be questioned and you are always right.
The republicans have had success with this mix, but now it has become an albatross and they don’t know how to fix it.

If they do not fix their problem soon, the American people will fix it for them. They are a not a party anymore and will destroy the US if they continue this path.
I don’t think that there is any republican that can fix this problem.

Hope everybody had a wonderful evening and here is to a wonderful 2013.

Have a Happy 2013 and keep thinking and writing. Pray for miracles. Sure. Do it anyway. You don’t believe in it? Well, it don’t cost nuthin’ and it helps you stay focussed. Just do it. We gotta do some heavy liftin’ this next four years, not just in Washington but in all the capitols all over. Love one another, even those unspeakables.

  17. The stated purpose of the teapublicans IS to destroy this country and to make it over into a theocratic plutocracy and a Caymen Islands-like place for stashing tax free riches. Thank heaven that our fellow citizens began to show them the door in November. Out with them and gruesome Grover must be our battle cry from now on.

Getting rid of Perry n Co is pretty high on my wishlist. Here’s to the Castros and Mr Hinojosa! I like his style, and his regular emails!

  19. Is it any wonder why Cindy McCain spends her time in Arizona watching her money while Johnny Poor Loser spends all his time in Dee Cee trying to get on Tee Vee? For sure he is not doing anything to help the country. That he and others think the President is disrepectful to Republicans in Congress is the height of hubris, considering how disrepectful they have been to the President since day one. We should send them all mirrors and broken records.

    19
  20. This Congress, the one that says Obama is disrespectful to them, aren’t they the same Congress that yelled “you lie!” at the President while he was trying to deliver a speech? Aren’t they the same Congress that said their #1 job in 2009 was to be certain they did whatever was necessary to see that Obama was not re-elected? (looks like they failed at their #1 job) Take it away Aretha…
    R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Find out what it means to me…

  21. I hope that all this bruhaha the past week, into 2am this morning over this self-imposed fiscal cliff has EVERYONE thoroughly prepared to rid our Congress of the AholeObstructionists in 2014. Yeah, Gov Oops is on my radar screen, but so are a whole slew of blusterpains like Neugebauer of BabyKiller! shout-out fame, Barton the BP Apologist, Screwie Louie, and my personal favorite, Senator Cornyn, who, like McConnell, is required to run for his throne again in 2014. Bachmann almost lost her seat this last election…. the Good Lord Willing, and the creek don’t rise…..Emily’s List will find a competent, progressive woman to run against her.

    Onward and Upward…. Happy 2013!

    21
  22. Are those clowns serious? After the presidential campaign where they pulled out every racist, misogynist, fear mongering ploy in the book, vowing to sink all legislation because they didn’t get the president they wanted and selling their votes to the money changers? Really? Ya’ think they have any dignity left?

As my Mama says, sounds like they have the same britches to got glad in that they got mad in. Translation: Suck it up, buttercup. It’s time to go to work.

  26. I was visiting with my 80 + year old mom yesterday, who had favoured John McCain back when he was running against Bush for the GOP nomination and she made the observation that she (honestly) thinks he’s gone senile based on his last few reported tirades. She said it takes some old people that way – they go from being fairly regular folks to nastier, meaner and more irrational than rattlesnake spit. She’s seen it happen with a few of her contemporaries and she thinks it organic. Of course, I think McCain had a head start on the nasty, mean and irrational regardless of what his elderly brain chemistry is doing now.
