Freedom Is Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose

July 31, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Kris Kristofferson didn’t know it at the time but he was writing about Chris Christie.

Christie got into a fight with a guy at a baseball game.

Christie, who according to Rachel Meadow has approval numbers approaching shoe sizes, got booed at a ball game last week when he caught a foul ball.  You generally get a round of applause for that, which is why I always take my glove to baseball games.

A week later, he got booed again.

Oh yeah, solely for your pure entertainment, there are pictures.  This guy called Christie a hypocrite.  I think he should get a round of applause.

However, there are no beach chairs this time.  There are plenty of cheese Nachos, though.

What’s the saying?  The bigger they are … the louder the splat sound they make when they fall?

Ninety Minutes

According to The Hill

Hackers at at a conference in Las Vegas were able to successfully breach the software of U.S. voting machines in just 90 minutes on Friday, illuminating glaring security deficiencies in America’s election infrastructure.

People who sell electronic voting machines tell us that it is impossible to hack an election in the United States because each state has their own voting system and each county within those states has difference voting machines and it would be almost impossible to break into all of them.

But, you don’t have to break into all of them.  You would only need to hack fewer than 100 or so key precinct in targeted counties in 3 or 4 states to swing the electoral college in a completely new direction.

In my county, a recount means just looking at the voting totals in each precinct and adding them again.  That means there is no such thing as a recount.  The exception is mail ballots, which can be handed counted.

I want to go back to pencils, paper, and locked metal boxes.  They can be “hacked”, but it would take longer to make secret copies of the ballots and slip them into the box while both a Democrat and a Republican are present.

Ninety minutes.

Damn.

Thanks to Craig for the heads up.

Rick Perry Lets Trump Grab Him By The Pussy

July 30, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Oh, y’all.  Rick Perry is the only person in America who supports Trump’s Tweetpolicy.

He doesn’t just support it.  He totally supports.  Totes.  Totally totes.

“The idea that the American people need to be paying for these types of operations to change your sex is not very wise from a standpoint of economics,” he continued. “I think the president makes some good decisions about making sure that we have a force that is capable.”

Col. Moris Davis responds.

Okay, just so you know.  Medical care for transgender soldiers would cost about 1% as much as the military spends on bands. Yeah, bands. Music. It is estimated that medical support for transgender service members would cost anywhere between $2 – $4 million.  Trump’s travel to Mar-a-Loco cost $20 million for his first 80 days in office.  The military spent $41 million on Viagra alone.

So, the reason Perry supports it cannot be economics nor will it ever be.  Perry is once again trying to certify his heterosexual credentials.  He’s just reminding you that he is not gay. Not gay. Not one little bit gay. Nada gayo.

And that Trump can grab him any place, any time, any where.

Thanks to Tony for the heads up.

Sheryl Crow ROCKS

July 29, 2017 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so here’s the backstory.  Upon hearing that Kid Rock was going to run for senate, some dude tweeted …

So, Sheryl tweets back in the most informational way possible …

And then sat down and immediately wrote a song.

She rocks.  She does.

Thanks to Sam for the heads up.

Court: Elected Officials Can’t Block Critics from Social Media Pages

July 29, 2017 By: El Jefe Category: Fascism, Trump

You’ve seen the stories, right?  Cheeto Jesus blocks everyone on Twitter who disagrees with him.  That happen to you?  How about Ted Cruz, Greg Abbott, Sid Miller, and many other social conservatives?  If they don’t like you calling their BS on social media BS on social media, they just block you.  You can’t respond beyond screaming at your screen.

Welp, kids, those days are now coming to an end.  The federal court in the District of Eastern Virginia ruled this week that elected officials who use their social media accounts for governmental purposes (announcements, constituent services, ranting against opponents, etc.) then that social media page becomes an official government form of communication.  If that elected official, or his staff, blocks you for criticizing that elected official, your free speech rights have been violated.  The case, Davison v. Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, involves the chair of the board who uses Facebook to communicate to people in the county and is also administered by her chief of staff.  One of the chair’s critics, who had accused her of corruption, was banned from her Facebook page for saying so.  The banned person, Brian Davison, sued, claiming infringement of his First Amendment right to free speech, and has now won at the federal level.  More importantly, the court also found that, by condoning the use of Facebook for official county government communications, that the county government entity is also liable.  This ruling establishes a precedent and is HHHUUUUGGGGEE.

So, has Deep Fryer Sid banned you from his Facebook page for mocking his silly (or hateful) posts?  You can now go after him and demand reinstatement.  Cheeto Jesus has banned thousands of critics.  Under this new ruling, he must reinstate those people back to his Twitter account.  If he doesn’t, the US Government is responsible for protecting your First Amendment rights that he, as an elected official, has infringed.

The old axiom, “Live by the Sword, Die by the Sword”, comes to mind here.  If elected officials choose to use social media to communicate directly to constituents, then they can no longer dictate who’s allowed to respond, at least according to this ruling, which has established a precedent for free speech.  Will this go to the Supreme Court?  Maybe, and we’ll see what happens; but in the meantime, start demanding reinstatement by politicians who don’t want to hear from you.

You know what to do next.

Reince is Out.

Because it’s Friday and nobody has cussed or tried to hurt a minority, Trump made news the traditional way – by firing his chief of staff.

John F Kelly is in.  It was announced on Twitter.

I’m wondering if there’s ever been a military General as a chief of staf before?
