Local Stuff: Republicans Splitting the Sheets
Well, how about these apples?
Remember how I told you about former Republican Party Chairman Rick Miller being a thug? (Click any of those links because he’s a serial thug.)
Rick Miller: thug
Well, he resigned as Party Chair but ain’t dropped the thuggery yet. The new chairwoman of the local GOP wrote a 19 page letter just to say that Rick Miller (it opens in Word) is an arrogant vicious divisive untrustworthy son of a motherless goat nincompoop thug. I just did it in 11 words. And if you gave me an extra word to use, I’d probably pick supercilious just because I know he’d have to look it up.
Our local Republicans are fighting so badly that they’re going to the sheriff’s department and filing charges on each other. It’s better than the circus coming to town.
The former-former chair even sent out an email of his own. Message from Gary (also in Word) is shorter. Here it is in PDF. However, he’s unwilling to take responsibility for his words and will only give you the names of people over the telephone if you call him. You know, gossip. Like a little girl. Good Lord, Gary Gillen, grow the hell up. When I’m hacked at somebody, I use their name, out loud, on the internet machine. Like I’m using yours right now within spittin’ distance of the word wimp. Isn’t it the Republican gossip machine that got y’all in this mess in the first place?
Cripes, you people want to govern? First graders with finger paints couldn’t make a bigger mess than you have right here in Brazos River City.
That’s the problem with our local Republican Party. They have no adult leadership.
Locals will enjoy the delicious reading. People from foreign states will take heart to know that the GOP being split three ways is even happening locally.
Actually it opens in .docx, a format that is unreadable by most unless they have the latest version of the overpriced office from M$. Another of their efforts to control. You probably should repost the document in the old .doc format.
1MB. OpenOffice or the new version LibreOffice have no problem opening a .docx and they’re free downloads.
2True enough but… they do not handle very well many complex documents formatted with older versions of word. BTDT. Also a number of the more, shall we say, “obscure” functions found in word are missing in the open source OO and LO. M$ also released a conversion program to be used with older forms of word. I have seen three installs of that and in all cases it trashed the office install.

4What does format have to do with the content of this story?
So this is what a party run by over sugared toddlers looks like. I’d say the local GOP basically mirrors the national.
Victims, instigators, emotional terrorists and incompetents.
Hmmmm. Too bad. (Not really.)

How do they get anything done?
7Well, your local GOP sounds like a charming bunch. If the new GOP chairwoman had any sense she would resign and tell them to go peddle their papers themselves, since that is what they want to do.
8I read all 19 pages and found it very interesting. The new chairwoman must have been keeping notes as there was so much silliness going on. I found it very funny that people were saying they never received certain e-mails and she could tell they were received and opened a number of times. What a bunch of AH’s and apparently this kind of stuff has been going on for some time.
The chairwoman should call Miller what Juanita Jean said and tell them she’s gone because the situation probably won’t change.
9I tried to open the docs in Adobe…. but had no luck. Don’t has MSWord….. so I’ll take your word for what they contained.

11If you have a Mac, you can open .docx by simply dragging it onto the TextEdit program icon.
Well, I think the Republican Party would be better of splitting into more than three ways as it still wouldn’t be small enough to drown in a bathtub. (Thanks, Grover). And Gary seems surprised that pettiness exists amongst the Repubs after referring to the Precinct Chairs in such a restrained way. Class act, Gary.
